The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) skill system relies on file-system scanning, and commands are also stored as Markdown files. Manual maintenance of these files usually requires editing the YAML frontmatter and restarting the service. dsh-skills-manager-plus adds a “Skills & Commands” page to the left sidebar of the settings interface, providing a visual management method.

Feature Overview

The plugin provides the following capabilities:

  • List and preview: Shows all skills in the skill directory, supports switching between “global / project” scopes, and clicking one previews the Markdown body.
  • Enable / disable: Rewrites the switch field in the frontmatter for hot application, taking effect within about one second without restarting the service.
  • Edit and delete: Supports modifying the name, description, body, and invocation switch; renaming synchronizes the directory structure; deleting removes SKILL.md and the resources directory.
  • Add and install: Creates a new kebab-case skill, or installs from a zip/tar/tar.gz archive (supports the GitHub ZIP format).
  • Search and pagination: Searches by name or description, showing 10 items per page.
  • Command management: Saves frequently used prompts as /<command>, which can be quickly invoked by typing / in the input box.
  • Import settings: One-click enable or disable of the .agents skill directory.
  • Multilingual: Supports switching between Chinese and English.

Installation and Enablement

Ensure the current DeepSeek Harness version is 0.1.5-rc.1 or higher.

  1. Use the plugin marketplace (if dsh-market is installed): Open Settings → Plugin Marketplace, search for dsh-skills-manager-plus, and install it.
  2. Command-line installation:
    dsh plugin --profile web add <本仓库目录>
After installation, restart `dsh` or wait for the profile hot reload; the page is available under “Settings → Skills & Commands”.

Configuration and Security

The plugin does not hold the “single source of truth” for skills; instead, it directly operates on the file system scanned by DSH.

Directory Structure

The directories managed by the plugin exactly match the root directories scanned by the DSH skill provider:
* User-level skills: ~/.dsh/skills, ~/.agents/skills
* Project-level skills: <project>/.dsh/skills, <project>/.agents/skills
* Command files: $DSH_HOME/commands/<name>.md

Security Conventions

  • Local requests: The API is mounted on a loopback web server, and requests not originating from the local machine are rejected with 403.
  • Path restrictions: Write operations are confined within the skill root directory, and write submissions beyond the root directory are rejected.
  • Atomic writes: State files are rewritten atomically, validated on load, and automatically reset to default values if corrupted.
  • Command permissions: When invoking /<command>, the prompt is sent via agent.followup as a regular user message, with permissions and logging behavior consistent with the user’s own input.

Conclusion

This plugin is maintained by appthin and released under the MIT License. It turns tasks that normally require file-system operations into browser-based configuration management, making it suitable for users who frequently adjust skills or commands.
