DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture that allows model capabilities to be extended through plugins. Calling local or service-specific models directly in DSH usually requires cumbersome provider configuration. The dsh-workbuddy-bridge plugin solves this problem by connecting models from the WorkBuddy desktop App directly into the DSH chat window. The plugin is maintained by dsh-plugin-lab and is released under the MIT License.

Core Features

  • Ready to use: After installation and enabling, model groups automatically appear in the DSH model selector.
  • Edition isolation: Domestic and international editions have separate groups; models, accounts, and credits are never mixed, and each follows only the login state of its own App.
  • Reasoning tiers: Models whose upstream declares tiers are directly selectable; models without declared tiers can be manually detected on the plugin page. Models that support tier switching have a default tier.
  • Credit visibility: Each response shows its consumption below, and remaining credits are persistently displayed next to the model selector.
  • Model visibility: In the plugin page’s “Models” tab, check to control which models appear in the selector.
  • Image input: Most models allow direct pasting or dragging images; text-only models are clearly indicated.
  • Three interfaces: Supports Web / Desktop / TUI.

Installation and Enablement

There is only one prerequisite: the WorkBuddy desktop App must be installed and logged in (the international edition is WorkBuddy AI App) — the plugin reuses the App’s login state.

Install from the official source:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-workbuddy-bridge
dsh web

Use the corresponding profiles for Desktop and TUI:

dsh plugin --profile desktop add dsh-workbuddy-bridge
dsh desktop

# TUI 需较新版本的终端插件 @deepseek-harness-tui/dsh-tui

Install from source:

git clone https://github.com/dsh-plugin-lab/dsh-workbuddy-bridge.git
cd dsh-workbuddy-bridge
pnpm install && pnpm build
dsh plugin --profile web add "$PWD"

Note: When installing from source, pnpm install cannot be omitted; dependencies need to be installed by the repository itself.

Configuration and Usage

After installation, find Plugins → Installed in the sidebar, then click DSH WorkBuddy Bridge. The configuration area below the description is applied immediately on save.

Plugin Page Settings

  • Login file path: Domestic / International. Leave empty to use the App’s own location.
  • Allow reasoning tier detection: When enabled, manually detect tiers for models without declared tiers.
  • Use upstream-declared maximum context window: Controls the model context length.

Tab Operations

  • Models: Check which models appear in the selector, and view the context window and multiplier.
  • Detection: For models without declared tiers, click the button to confirm their reasoning tier (this operation is not supported in TUI mode).
  • Credits: View the total balance; below are remaining balance bars for each plan.

Notes and Limitations

  • Credential security: The login state is obtained from the WorkBuddy desktop App’s own credentials file; the plugin only keeps an encrypted local copy. Raw credentials never appear in the UI.
  • Permissions and intended use: The plugin runs with the current dsh process permissions. It is for personal learning and research only, and only drives the user’s own WorkBuddy account for local invocations. Do not use it for commercial purposes.
  • Compliance: Users must comply with WorkBuddy’s terms of service. This project is not affiliated with Tencent, WorkBuddy, or DeepSeek.
  • Compatibility: Groups without credentials are hidden. TUI requires a newer version of the terminal plugin @deepseek-harness-tui/dsh-tui.

With the above configuration, WorkBuddy models will appear directly in the DSH model selector without additional provider configuration.
