Introduction¶
During development, you may often encounter port conflicts caused by lingering processes, unclear environment configuration, or the need to repeatedly check system status. dsh-env-inspector is an environment self-inspection plugin for DeepSeek Harness (DSH). It provides a visual dashboard for system environment details, CLI toolchain status, model API key status, and active ports, and supports one-click secure port release.
Core Capabilities¶
Port Detection and Release¶
The plugin uses low-level system APIs to detect all listening ports in real time. The interface distinguishes between core service ports and dynamic ports, and supports collapsing and expanding high-number dynamic ports. For occupied ports, it provides one-click secure release (kill the process).
* Safety mechanism: Core ports (such as DSH’s :3080) and DSH host processes are permanently locked and cannot be terminated; critical system PIDs are also forcibly blocked.
* Status synchronization: After a port is released, the page refreshes automatically without manual reloading.
Environment and Toolchain Dashboard¶
The top tab independently displays an environment overview, including:
* System status: Operating system information.
* CLI toolchain: Real-time readiness detection for 12 commonly used development CLIs (such as Node, Git, Docker, etc.).
* Large model key: Globally displays the presence of configured model API keys without exposing plaintext values.
Plugins and Network Interfaces¶
- Plugin list: Lists DSH extension plugins loaded under the current Web / Local profile and their actually effective versions.
- Network information: Displays LAN IP addresses and public egress IP addresses separately. Public egress IP detection is performed only when the user clicks to request it.
Installation and Enablement¶
Install it using the DSH plugin manager:
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh plugin --profile <你的 profile> add @dsh-plugins/dsh-env-inspector
After installation is complete, open the page and click the 「🖥️ 电脑环境」 tab in the top navigation bar to start using it.
Security and Architecture¶
- Zero runtime dependencies: The code is built entirely on native Node.js APIs and pure React, with no third-party package bloat.
- Local self-inspection: It does not require internet access by default; local self-inspection does not access external services. Public egress IP detection occurs only when the user clicks.
- Privacy protection: No API or component outputs, reads, or transmits any API key in plaintext; all endpoints enforce validation of
Sec-Fetch-Site: same-origin, preventing malicious cross-site probing.
Use Cases¶
This plugin is suitable for scenarios that require quickly troubleshooting port occupation, verifying development environment consistency, or checking large model configuration. The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. It is recommended to review the source code and license before installing.
Conclusion¶
dsh-env-inspector integrates system status and port management into the DSH interface through a visual dashboard, reducing the time spent repeatedly switching terminals or consulting documentation.
