Introduction

When DeepSeek Harness agents have access to a large number of tools, context window usage and routing overhead increase significantly. Agent-Body is a plugin layer that decouples tool definitions from task intent and manages agent runtime behavior, including memory and self-repair. By defining plugins as organs, routing commands through neural impulses, providing zero-model-call reflex arcs, consolidating memory during idle time, and attributing failures before retries, Agent-Body manages 84.7% of DeepSeek Harness’s tool-architecture prompt tokens.

Core Features

Agent-Body implements the following core capabilities:

  • Architecture gating: Manages tool architecture according to task intent, reducing unnecessary context consumption.
  • Deterministic routing: Routes commands through deterministic intent rules, deciding execution paths without invoking a model.
  • Failure attribution: Classifies and attributes failures before retry, avoiding ineffective retries.
  • Memory and consolidation: Provides persistent memory and performs memory consolidation during idle periods.

Installation and Activation

Agent-Body must be installed in DeepSeek Harness. Use the following command to install the core components (Organism, Cortex, Zero-Residence):

$rel = "https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/1420079678-ctrl/agent-body@v0.1.2/dist"
dsh plugin --profile web add "$rel/dsh-external-dsh-organism-0.1.1.tgz" "$rel/dsh-external-dsh-cortex-0.1.1.tgz" "$rel/dsh-external-dsh-zero-residence-0.1.0.tgz"

After installation, restart Harness and run the body_status command to view the loaded organs status.

Local Validation and Testing

The project provides tools for offline execution and validation:

  • npm run demo: Runs offline end-to-end tests.
  • npm run check: Validates offline regression tests.
  • npm run bench:check: Ensures the architecture gating count does not drift.

Notes

  • License: MIT.
  • Development stage: Early-stage project, primarily optimized for the Windows platform.
  • Host dependency: Requires DeepSeek Harness as the host for integration.
  • Independence: The offline core demo can run independently without relying on external services.

Ecosystem Context

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts an “everything is a plugin” architectural concept. As an independent plugin, Agent-Body is maintained on GitHub (1420079678-ctrl/agent-body) and has no direct affiliation with official DeepSeek.
