Introduction

When developing and debugging agents using DeepSeek Harness (DSH), managing MCP server configurations and maintaining local Skills is a frequent daily task. As a plugin, dsh-mcp-studio consolidates these scattered management capabilities into a unified extension panel and supports cross-environment operation.

What It Is

This is a DeepSeek Harness MCP service and Skills manager plugin maintained by functy23. It allows users to directly add, delete, and modify MCP server entries in the panel, scan and import configurations from other agents, manage Skills, and embed the plugin marketplace when dshmarket is installed. The plugin works in both Web and Desktop profiles.

Core Features

The plugin provides the following core capabilities:

  • MCP server management: Supports project-level and global configuration. Provides a server list displaying enabled status, transport type, and URL or command. Features include add and edit forms, enable/disable, restart, connection check, and copying configuration snippets. Supports scanning and importing from other DSH profiles or Claude / Cursor / Windsurf / VS Code configurations, as well as exporting and importing in JSON format.
  • Skills manager: Supports grouping by source and searching the skill list. Provides enable/disable, viewing and editing SKILL.md, creating a new skill (opens a new conversation in the current workspace with /skill-creator prefilled), deleting, opening the directory, and refreshing.
  • Plugin marketplace integration: When dshmarket is installed and its client provides render, the plugin marketplace panel is embedded in this tab.
  • Cross-environment operation: Works as a cross-environment plugin; Web and Desktop profiles are supported.

Installation and Activation

  1. Ensure the environment meets the requirements: only Node >= 20 is supported; it depends on the DSH host environment and macOS signing.
  2. Use the official command to install it into the corresponding profile:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-mcp-studio@latest # DSH Web 版
dsh plugin --profile desktop add dsh-mcp-studio@latest # DSH 桌面版
  1. It mounts automatically after installation. If the host is updated, it is recommended to restart DSH and hard-refresh the browser.

Notes

  • Tauri-specific code remains in the vendor directory but is not referenced; the build output does not access window.__TAURI__, so it works equally on Web and Desktop.
  • This plugin has no CI process.

Postscript

dsh-mcp-studio provides a unified configuration entry point for DSH users by integrating MCP and Skills management. More details can be found in the project directory or GitHub repository.
