Introduction¶
When developing or debugging alongside a DSH conversation, you often need a workbench that can handle multiple tasks, supports agent collaboration, and provides persistence. DSH SuperTerminal aims to extend Side Terminal into a fully featured local workspace with multi-pane layout, local agent management, and remote terminal connectivity. With this plugin, you can execute natural-language tasks directly next to the conversation or bring different agents together in a discussion group to reach a conclusion.
Installation and Activation¶
The current version is 0.1.0-alpha.17 and requires the following environment:
* DSH version: 0.1.1-rc.2
* Node.js: 24+
Install it using the official command:
dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/Harzva/dsh-superterminal/releases/download/v0.1.0-alpha.17/harzva-dsh-terminal-0.1.0-alpha.17.tgz
After installation, restart the selected DSH configuration. Click Terminal in the input field, or type /terminal, to open the plugin interface.
Basic Task Execution¶
In the terminal interface, you can send tasks directly in natural language. For example, if you enter “Check this project and fix the failing tests,” the plugin inherits the permissions from the source conversation and executes the task by reading files, modifying code, running commands, and displaying results.
You can continue asking follow-up questions, add requirements, or stop the task during execution. Each terminal has its own independent context and draft, and the model, permissions, and tool steps are visible.
Agent Management¶
Through More → Agent Management, you can manage local agent tools. The supported management tools include:
* Shell
* Codex
* Claude Code
* Kimi Code
* Pi
On this page, you can filter by “Installed” or “All Agents,” search by name or command, and view tool versions and usage status. Codex, Claude Code, Kimi, and Pi use independent configurations for the current workspace and may require re-login or model configuration on first use.
Terminal Discussion Group¶
Terminal Group allows you to group terminals in the same workbench into a discussion group, with up to 6 members per group.
- Open Discussion Group → New Discussion Group to select members, or invite them from a terminal’s More → Join Discussion Group.
- Write your question and specify the speaking members; 1-round or 2-round discussions are supported.
- Select one member to Form a Conclusion; the conclusion will summarize consensus, disagreements, and action items.
- Click Hand the Conclusion to an Agent for Execution, then confirm the executor and acceptance criteria.
Remote Terminal Support¶
Click SSH in an empty pane to connect to a remote server. Remote terminals require tmux to be installed and rely on existing local SSH configuration and authentication.
- Procedure: Select an SSH host, enter the remote absolute directory (
~refers to the remote home directory), and click Check Connection. - After Connection: You can launch a Shell or an Agent CLI detected remotely.
- Notes: The remote supports native Shell/Agent CLI and selection interpretation, but DSH AI file operations and automatic participation are not yet supported; DSH AI execution, automatic handover, and Terminal Group remain local-only.
Appearance and Themes¶
The plugin provides six theme colors (Mint Green, Misty Blue, Iris Purple, Amber, Rose, Graphite) and independent light/dark mode settings. Select them under More → Appearance; changes take effect immediately without restarting the terminal.
Notes¶
- Version Status: It is still an Alpha version.
- System Limitations: Windows, other DSH versions, and Harvis takeover are not yet supported.
- Concurrency Limit: The same service can execute at most 2 AI tasks concurrently.
- Process Management: Restarting DSH terminates local terminals; remote tasks do not provide recovery guarantees across DSH restarts.
- Permissions Explanation: Remote terminals do not support DSH AI file operations or automatic participation; DSH Supervisor terminal state adaptation is not yet included in the public Supervisor 0.2.4.
Conclusion¶
DSH SuperTerminal transforms Side Terminal into a more robust workbench through multi-pane layout, a local agent library, and discussion group features. It is suitable for developers who need multi-tasking, code debugging, and remote management alongside their conversations. For more details, see the GitHub repository.
