Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture that allows users to customize the interface according to their needs. The lichtspur/deepseek-style-theme plugin aims to replicate the visual style of the DeepSeek official website. Through a fluid background, liquid glassmorphism, and the DSTT (DeepSeekStyleTheme) time-based mode, it addresses the lack of brand consistency and timeliness in the default interface.
Core Features¶
1. Fluid Background and DSTT Modes¶
The plugin uses WebGL2 to render a full-screen fluid simulation. The background color changes in real time based on the three color tokens configured in DSTT: peak red, valley blue, and normal green. If the device does not support WebGL2, it automatically falls back to a particle background.
- Peak determination: Based on Beijing time (UTC+8).
- Peak hours: 9:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00 (Saturday and Sunday are non-peak all day).
- Color scheme: Peak uses bright red
#F5222D; valley hours display blue or green depending on the mode.
2. Liquid Glassmorphism¶
Two glassmorphism recipes are provided:
- Liquid: More translucent with stronger refraction; frames feature a self-moving highlight and are mainly applied to the sidebar, dialog boxes, title bars, and user bubbles.
- White frosted: The previous style, with no pixel-level changes.
All glass effects use SVG feDisplacementMap to achieve refraction and are supported only in Chromium-based browsers. When the mouse moves within the chat window, a soft light effect follows the cursor.
3. Running Subagent Panel¶
When a subagent starts, a glass panel floats up in the bottom-right corner and lists the running subagents in real time. The panel displays the name, elapsed duration, token usage, and flowing progress bar. Clicking an item jumps directly to the corresponding session.
4. Cross-platform Delivered Files Menu¶
The plugin takes over the styling of the delivered files menu and provides a glassmorphism action menu with features such as “Open containing folder,” “Copy path,” and “Open preview.”
5. Semantic Anchor Edition¶
For the official DeepSeek Harness 0.2.x desktop version, versions 2.1.0 and later use semantic anchors instead of hardcoded CSS class name hashes. This avoids style breakage caused by product updates. The plugin monitors DOM changes via MutationObserver to ensure styles are applied correctly.
Compatibility¶
- Plugin coexistence: Supports coexisting with
dsh-plugin-wallpaper-engineanddsh-better-sidebar. - Wallpaper engine compatibility: When the wallpaper engine is rendering, the plugin detects
body[data-we-wallpaper]and yields without using!importantoverrides. The wallpaper engine takes over the background.
Installation and Activation¶

How to enable:
1. Enable the DSTT tab on the DSH settings page.
2. Select a theme mode (for example, peak/valley red-blue).
3. Click the DeepSeek logo in the sidebar to open the official website.
4. Move the mouse within the chat window to see the following light spot.
Notes¶
- License: MIT licensed; retain
THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.mdduring distribution. - Model directory: The plugin no longer interferes with model directory synchronization; this feature has been returned to the official implementation.
- Background modes: Supports four modes: classic/white/custom/bold. Switching takes effect immediately.
- Dependencies: Upstream dependencies include
dsh-theme-mineradioanddeepseek-harness-background.
Conclusion¶
By using WebGL2 fluid effects and refined glassmorphism, this plugin significantly enhances the visual expressiveness of DSH. Its semantic anchors and DSTT mechanism also improve practicality and timeliness.
