Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is a plugin-based agent development framework. Traditional interaction methods mostly depend on desktop or Web interfaces. The dsh-telegram-bridge plugin provides a bridge to Telegram, allowing you to interact with the DSH Agent, invoke skills, and manage files directly from a mobile phone or messaging app.

Core Features

The plugin provides the following capabilities:
* Telegram ↔ DSH Agent conversation: Supports interaction in private chats or by @-mentioning the bot in group chats.
* Access control: Available only to allowlisted users by default to prevent misuse by strangers.
* Working directory browser: Browse and switch directories within Telegram using the /cwd command.
* Skill invocation: View and execute available skills.
* Image and file sending/receiving: Supports multimodal image interaction and file transfer.

Installation and Enablement

Install it in the DSH Web Profile (or another Profile):

  1. Navigate to the Profile directory (for example, ~/.dsh/profiles/web).
  2. Run the installation command:
    pnpm add dsh-telegram-bridge
  1. Modify the package.json file and add "dsh-telegram-bridge" to the dsh.profile.bundles array.
  2. Restart the dsh service.

Configuration Steps

After installation, complete the following configuration before using it.

1. Get the Bot Token

Find @BotFather in Telegram, send /newbot to create a bot, and obtain the token (format: 123456789:AA...).

2. Configure the Token

There are two configuration methods:
* Visual configuration: In the plugin settings on the dsh settings page, find Telegram Bot Bridge, paste the token into the Bot Token input box, click Test Connection, and save.
* Credentials configuration: Add the following to ~/.dsh/.credentials.yaml:

    refs:
      DSH_TELEGRAM_BOT_TOKEN: "你的token"

3. Configure the Access Allowlist

For security, you must configure an access allowlist.
* Allowed usernames: Enter your Telegram username (without @). For multiple users, separate them with commas.
* Allowed chat IDs: Optional. Enter a group ID or private chat ID.

4. Proxy Settings (Optional)

If you need to access Telegram through a proxy, enter the proxy address on the settings page. The format is similar to:

http://127.0.0.1:7897

If left blank, a direct connection is used.

Common Commands

The bot supports the following commands for control:

  • /new - Reset the current session
  • /topic <name> - Switch the named sub-session
  • /cwd - Browse/switch the working directory
  • /skills - List available skills
  • /skill <name> [args] - Invoke a skill
  • /model [provider model] - View/switch the model
  • /status - Current status
  • /stop - Stop the current turn

Security Considerations

This plugin runs with the permissions of the current dsh process and involves file system operations. Please pay attention to the following security boundaries:

  1. Working directory boundary: The Agent in a bot session has read/write access to the working directory. Do not grant access to the bot allowlist for untrusted users, to avoid file system risks.
  2. Group allowlist: If you add a group ID to allowed_chat_ids, all members in that group can interact with the bot.
  3. Public exposure: The test connection endpoint has no authentication. Do not expose the dsh Web directly to the public internet without access control.
  4. File security: Files received by the bot are stored in <workdir>/telegram-inbox/.

Conclusion

dsh-telegram-bridge enables remote control and mobile access to the DSH Agent through Telegram. Its allowlist mechanism provides basic access security, making it suitable for developers who need to quickly invoke Agent skills or inspect the working directory from a mobile device.
