DSH Desktop supports running various plugins on the desktop. For users who need to quickly check schedules, manage goals, or plan dates on the desktop, switching between multiple applications is usually required. The schedule plugin integrates daily scheduling, goal setting, and date planning into three draggable, resizable frosted glass floating cards, providing lightweight desktop assistance.
Core Features¶
Daily Scheduling¶
This module is used for recording schedules that remain valid long-term.
1. Recurrence and Time: Supports three recurrence types—daily, weekdays, and weekends—and defines the start and end time for items.
2. Status Highlighting: Items whose current time falls within their start-end interval are highlighted, while past time slots are automatically turned gray.
3. Countdown Notes: Includes built-in countdown display for important dates.
Goal Setting¶
This module is used for tracking goal progress and provides flowchart editing capabilities.
1. Progress Editing: The percentage numbers in data rows can be clicked directly to modify them.
2. Flowchart Workbench: Clicking the icon expands a free-form flowchart editor, supporting 29 SVG shapes and orthogonal snap connections.
3. Due-Date Linkage: The due dates of flowchart nodes are displayed on the monthly calendar with color changes based on urgency.
Date Planning¶
This module is based on the monthly calendar view for date planning.
1. Multi-Day Tasks: Tasks support setting start and end dates, and colored task bars fill every day they cover.
2. Task Creation: Click any day in the monthly calendar view to create a new task.
3. View Linkage: The monthly calendar is linked in real time with flowchart node due dates.
General Features¶
- Frosted Glass Cards: Automatically follow the light or dark theme of the wallpaper and support dragging, resizing, and position memory.
- Today Panel: Aggregates tasks in progress, starting soon, and due today, with automatic refresh every 30 seconds.
- Data Management: Supports JSON import/export, automatic snapshots (last 5), and automatic backup files (saved to disk every 10 minutes).
- Operation Optimization: All deletion operations support undo (Toast notification + Ctrl+Z).
Installation and Activation¶
Installation¶
Use the official installation command to add the plugin package.
dsh plugin add ./schedule-0.18.0.tgz
After installation, DSH Desktop needs to be fully restarted for the changes to take effect.
Typical Usage¶
Operation Flow¶
- Edit Progress: Click the number in a goal row to directly modify the progress percentage.
- Edit Flowchart: Click the icon on the right side of the goal row to expand the flowchart workbench.
- Create Task: Click any day in the monthly calendar view and select the start date, end date, and color in the pop-up editor.
- Restore Data: If browser storage has been cleared, you can restore data with one click using the automatic backup file in the data center.
Notes¶
Environment and Data¶
- Data Persistence: Data is stored in the browser’s
localStorageand is not lost after refresh or restart. - Performance Optimization: Debouncing and partial redraw optimization are implemented for node selection, dragging, and input.
- Data Recovery: A one-day template is automatically injected on first use; data from older versions is automatically migrated.
