Preface

When using DeepSeek Harness (DSH), developers often need to repeatedly enter the same prompts. This wastes time and can easily lead to input errors. dsh-quick-prompts solves this problem by turning frequently used prompts into a row of capsules above the input box, where one click fills and sends them, reducing typing and repetitive re-stating.

What Is This?

This is a client-side plugin maintained by lcsdg. It adds a row of user-defined prompt capsules to the input area of the DSH Web GUI, allowing users to quickly invoke and manage prompts.

Core Features

  • Preview and Editing: Click a capsule to preview and edit a prompt. {{placeholder}} is supported. In the editing dialog, placeholders are highlighted in orange.
  • Direct Sending: A paper-airplane icon is displayed next to each capsule. Click it to send with one click. If the prompt contains placeholders, the system automatically switches to preview mode for completion.
  • Management Dialog: Provides add/delete/edit, sorting, and counting capabilities. The left side is the management area, while the right side manages specific prompts.
  • Session Memory: Each session independently remembers the currently selected feature. Switching windows does not lose this state.
  • Data Persistence: Prompts are stored in the official settings document (ctx.settingsScope), so clearing the browser cache will not remove them.

Installation and Enabling

Run the following command in an initialized DSH profile (replace web with your profile name):

dsh plugin --profile web add @max1997/dsh-quick-prompts

After installation, refresh the Web GUI page to see the prompt row above the input area (the host half-pane needs to restart the dsh process to load completely).

Typical Usage

  1. Click a capsule to preview and edit the prompt (this draft does not modify the saved prompt), fill in {{placeholder}}, then sync it to the input box or send it directly.
  2. Click the paper-airplane icon next to a capsule to send directly. If the prompt contains placeholders, it automatically switches to preview for completion.
  3. Add, edit, or delete prompts and adjust their order in the management dialog.

Applicable Scenarios and Notes

  • Suitable for users who need to frequently invoke fixed prompts or templates.
  • Prompts are stored in the official settings document (ctx.settingsScope). Changes in the editing dialog take effect only after saving.
  • The host half-pane needs to restart the dsh process to load completely.

Closing

Managing prompts with capsules reduces repetitive input and improves development efficiency. For more details and source code, refer to the project directory and GitHub repository.
