Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is a coding agent tool. Its standard Web interface is fully featured, but its visual style is relatively generic. The dsh-theme-minecraft plugin redesigns DSH’s Web UI into the style of Minecraft Java Edition. It does not modify DSH’s core source code; instead, it mounts a UI transformation layer through the existing APIs, providing an immersive pixel-art interaction experience.

Plugin Positioning

  • Project Name: dsh-theme-minecraft
  • Maintainer: 10086ggqq
  • Open Source License: MIT
  • Core Value: Maps DSH’s session management, agent presets, tool calls, and approval workflow to Minecraft world saves, game modes, item cards, and redstone mechanisms.
  • Zero Intrusion: Does not modify DSH source code; extends only through the plugin mechanism. The original DSH interface remains unchanged and can be restored with one click.

Core Features

This plugin gamifies DSH’s core capabilities with the following mappings:

  1. Main Menu and Panorama

    • Renders a rotating panoramic background using WebGL, paired with a pixel logo and a flashing text effect.
    • The session list is presented as “world saves,” supporting renaming and archiving (calls real APIs).
  2. Mode Selection and Agent Presets

    • Four Minecraft game modes (Survival/Creative/Adventure/Expert) correspond to four DSH agent presets (standard/ptc/minimal/cordis).
  3. In-World Interaction

    • Chat Console: Displays the conversation in the world as a HUD and shows model and token usage in real time.
    • Tool Cards: Renders tool/call and tool/result as pixel-art item cards.
    • Thinking Parkour: When the AI is thinking or streaming output, it triggers the Chrome offline T-Rex Runner mini-game.
    • Dangerous Operation Approval: When the approval panel appears, the parkour game pauses and resumes after the operation is completed.
    • Villager Questions: AI clarification questions are displayed as villager speech bubbles.
  4. Audio-Visual and Effects

    • Sound Effects: Uses WebAudio to synthesize 8-bit retro sound effects.
    • Music: Supports importing background music in MP3/WAV/OGG formats.
    • Desktop Pet: Provides interactive desktop pets, such as axolotl and cats, along with redstone particle effects.
    • Settings Center: Divided into Game/AI/World/Audio/Visual pages, with settings stored persistently.

Installation and Enablement

Environment Requirements

  • Node.js ^22.19 or >=24
  • An installed and configured DeepSeek Harness

Installation Command

Install it through DSH’s plugin manager:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-theme-minecraft

Start and Login

After installation, the theme is automatically mounted when running dsh web. Start the service:

dsh web

The terminal prints a login URL with a ?token= parameter. Visit that URL to complete login.

Typical Usage

  1. Configure API Key

    • In the main menu, go to “Settings” and save the API Key to DSH’s credential store.
    • Or provide DEEPSEEK_API_KEY in the .env environment file.
  2. Select Mode

    • In the main menu, click the mode icon and select the corresponding agent preset (for example, “Survival Mode” corresponds to the standard preset).
  3. Operation Approval

    • When the agent needs to perform a dangerous operation (such as deleting files), the approval panel appears and the parkour mini-game pauses automatically. It resumes after approval.
