Under the plugin-based architecture of DSH (DeepSeek Harness), adding image recognition capabilities to an agent usually requires integrating with external services. The xby-classify plugin wraps the YOLOv26 model and provides an interface for performing ImageNet 1000-class classification directly within the DSH environment.
Plugin Overview¶
xby-classify is a model inference plugin maintained by xby-skill. It does not include model weights itself; instead, it calls an external API (the official Xiaobenyang site) to perform classification and returns the Top-5 predicted classes with confidence scores.
Core Capabilities¶
The plugin provides the following main capabilities:
- set_xby_apikey: Sets an API key in the chat context. After setting, the key is automatically persisted and remains valid after restarting DSH.
- yolo26_classify: Accepts an image file link and returns the Top-5 ImageNet 1000 classes and confidence scores.
- yolo26_classify_for_data_base64: Accepts a BASE64 encoding of an image file and performs classification.
- yolo26_classify_for_data_file: Accepts a local file path of an image file and performs classification.
Installation¶
Run the following command in the DSH command line to install:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:xby_skill/xby-classify
Configuration and Usage¶
Get API Key¶
Before use, visit the official Xiaobenyang site to register and obtain an API key.
Typical Usage¶
Depending on the image source, use the corresponding command:
- Processing web image links: Use
yolo26_classifywith an image URL. - Processing Base64-encoded images: Use
yolo26_classify_for_data_base64with a Base64 string. - Processing local files: Use
yolo26_classify_for_data_filewith a local file path.
Notes¶
- Classification is based on the ImageNet 1000-class standard.
- The returned results include the Top-5 classes and their corresponding confidence scores.
- License: MIT.
- The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Ensure the path is accessible when handling local file paths.
Summary¶
This plugin provides DSH developers with a standard entry point for accessing an image classification service. The source code and updates are available in the GitHub repository.
