In DeepSeek Harness, the sidebar can indeed display session progress, but it is part of the page content and is only visible when the corresponding tab is active. The browser tab is always on screen and is the only area visible even when the page is in a background tab. This plugin extracts the three noteworthy states from the sidebar (waiting, in progress, and completed) and displays them directly in the browser tab title and icon.

This is a plugin that syncs the session progress of the DeepSeek Harness web version to the browser tab. It adds a status prefix to the tab title and displays a count badge on the icon. The project is maintained by WsTe47 and is released under the MIT license.

Core Features

  1. Title Status Prefix: Displays a session status prefix (waiting/in progress/completed) in the browser tab title.
  2. Icon Count Badge: Displays a count badge on the browser tab icon.
  3. Progress Syncing: Syncs session progress from the DeepSeek Harness workspace.
  4. Theme Adaptation: Colors are retrieved from theme tokens.
  5. Privacy and Security: No network requests and no data storage.

Installation and Activation

Before installing, ensure that your DSH version meets the requirement (dsh >= 0.1.5-rc.1).

  1. Run the installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add @climber47/dsh-tab-status
  1. After installation, restart dsh web to activate the plugin.

Statuses and Badges

The plugin updates the browser tab according to the sidebar priority (waiting > in progress > completed > idle).

  • Waiting: When a session is waiting for processing (such as approval, questions, or plan review), the title prefix is ⚠ 2 waiting · and the icon shows a full amber circle with a white count inside.
  • In Progress: When a session is running (including sub-agents), the title prefix is ● in progress · (if multiple sessions are running, it shows as ● 3 in progress ·), and the icon is the original icon enlarged with a status dot.
  • Completed: When a session is completed and you have not opened it, the title prefix is ✓ 2 completed · and the icon shows a full green circle with a white count inside.
  • Idle: When none of the above states apply, the default title and icon are restored.

The badge count limit is 9+.

Notes

  • Single-Page Limitation: Supports only the current page and does not work across tabs.
  • No Polling: There is no polling mechanism; updates are snapshot-based only.
  • Plugin Conflicts: It must not run simultaneously with a dynamic Cordis plugin that performs the same function, otherwise both will compete for control of the title.
  • No Data Storage: The plugin makes no network requests and stores no data.

The plugin modifies document.title and <link rel="icon"> by layering changes, without affecting the original functionality. For developers who need to monitor agent progress in the background, this is a lightweight helper tool. For more details and the source code, refer to the project directory or the GitHub repository.
