Preamble

The official skill slash-matching logic in DeepSeek Harness uses exact matching (startsWith). Host commands already support fuzzy matching. For kebab-case skill names, if the slash command typed by the user is only a substring of the full name, the official logic cannot resolve it to the complete skill name. For example, game-package-oneshot cannot be triggered by entering /oneshot. The dsh-skill-slash-fuzzy plugin fills this gap.

Plugin Introduction

This is a DeepSeek Harness plugin. It resolves unique kebab-case skill substrings in DeepSeek Harness slash commands. The plugin is maintained by NecromanAlbert and is released under the MIT license.

Installation

Install from GitHub (no build step required):

dsh plugin --profile desktop add github:NecromanAlbert/dsh-skill-slash-fuzzy

After installation, restart the DeepSeek Harness desktop version.

Features

This plugin intervenes before the official injection mechanism and handles the following scenarios:

  1. Rewrite unique substrings: Rewrite a unique but incomplete /segment marker into the full skill name before passing it to the official injection.
  2. Augment the skill menu: Provide an additional / source so that these unique substrings appear in the skill menu.
  3. Resolve unique hits: When the slash command is a unique substring, for example /oneshot loads game-package-oneshot.
  4. Keep ambiguous entries unchanged: When two skills share the same substring, keep the slash command /package unchanged to avoid ambiguity.
  5. Preserve exact names: Do not modify precisely named slash commands such as /pua and /understand.

Usage Examples

  • /oneshot: Successfully loads the skill when game-package-oneshot is the only skill containing oneshot.
  • /package: Keeps the command as /package when two skills share the package substring.

Notes

  • This plugin is not a replacement for the official ui-skill or dsh-tool-skill.
  • This plugin is not a fuzzy matcher for host commands (host commands already support fuzzy matching).
  • This plugin is not an alias registry and does not provide additional YAML mappings or nickname features.
  • The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process; review the source code and license before installing.

Conclusion

This plugin resolves triggering issues for kebab-case skill names by handling unique substrings before the official injection. For more details, see the plugin directory or the GitHub repository.
