In the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) ecosystem, general development tasks are usually handled with the standard preset. For mobile native development, generic rules are often insufficient. iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS have different languages, toolchains, and build processes. dsh-app-native solves this problem. It is a mobile native development agent preset that covers all native languages for iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS, and automatically detects the workspace platform to switch to the corresponding native language rules.
Core Features¶
This preset constrains behavior by changing the agent persona rather than changing its underlying capabilities. It inherits all files, skills, and tools from the standard preset, but its behavior logic is customized for native development.
- Multi-platform native support: Covers native development for iOS (Objective-C/Swift/C++), Android (Kotlin/Java/C++), and HarmonyOS (ArkTS/C++/JS).
- Automatic platform detection: Automatically identifies the platform based on workspace files:
- HarmonyOS:
oh-package.json5,hvigorfile.ts,*.ets - iOS:
*.xcodeproj,Podfile,*.m/*.swift - Android:
settings.gradle(.kts),build.gradle(.kts),AndroidManifest.xml,*.kt/*.java
- HarmonyOS:
- Specific toolchain integration: Uses the native development toolchain for code intelligence, building, and debugging.
- Persona constraints: Built-in strict development standards, such as prohibiting language switching (e.g., migrating from ObjC to Swift), prohibiting arbitrary addition of new dependencies, and prohibiting manual editing of generated configuration files.
Installation and Activation¶
The installation command writes the preset file package to the user directory, making it available in the preset selector of every configuration profile.
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-app-native
After installation is complete, restart the configuration profile and select “Mobile Native Development” in the preset selector for a new session.
Typical Usage and Dependencies¶
Update and Remove¶
- Update:
dsh plugin --profile web update dsh-app-native(restart required). - Remove:
dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-app-native(preset files are not deleted automatically; manually clean up$DSH_HOME/.agent-presets/app-native/).
Companion Plugins¶
This preset does not include specific implementations for all tools by itself and requires the following plugins or toolchains to provide full functionality:
- Code intelligence:
dsh-lsp-actions(theserverstable must be configured incordis.patch.yml). - iOS device loop:
@zseven-w/dsh-ios(macOS + Xcode environment). - HarmonyOS device loop:
dsh-hdc-bridge. - Image recognition: It is recommended to use
modlens_read_imageto obtain structured screenshot evidence rather than reading images directly. - Build and API: Relies on capabilities such as
arkts_check,build_project, andhms_*provided by the DevEco Studio ordeveco-clitoolchain.
Notes¶
- No manual editing of generated files: The preset prohibits manually editing
.xcodeproj,.pbxproj,build.gradle, and generated files (such as merged manifest, BuildConfig, R classes, etc.). - Session restrictions: The preset selection is effective only in a new session or a session without history. Running sessions keep their initial configuration.

Summary¶
dsh-app-native is a DeepSeek Harness preset optimized for mobile native development scenarios. By enforcing platform-specific development standards and toolchain invocations, it helps developers avoid common native development pitfalls, such as inconsistent language styles or accidental changes to generated files.
