When using DeepSeek Harness Web UI for agent development, conversation timelines are often filled with a large number of intermediate steps, making them hard to read. During Deep diving, long waits are usually accompanied by static progress messages with little contextual feedback. To address these usability issues, the dsh-timeline-enhance plugin provides automatic collapsing and friendly contextual prompts.
This is a DeepSeek Harness Web UI plugin developed by maintainer lianginx. It improves the readability of the conversation interface by cleaning up cluttered intermediate steps and enhancing feedback during Deep diving.
Core Features¶
- Automatic Collapsing of Intermediate Steps: Automatically collapses 20+ intermediate steps into a single line. Click to expand and view details, keeping the interface tidy.
- Contextual Prompts: During Deep diving, replaces the static
Deep diving...text with friendly prompts showing what is currently happening, reducing wait-induced anxiety. - Real-Time Preview and Control: Supports real-time previews in the settings interface, and individual features can be toggled independently.
Installation and Enablement¶
Run the following command in the terminal to install it using the official plugin mechanism:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:lianginx/dsh-timeline-enhance
After installation, find the Timeline Enhance option in the Settings menu of DSH Web UI.
Typical Usage¶
- Go to the
Settings → Timeline Enhancesettings page. - On this page, independently control the Automatic Collapsing and Contextual Prompts features.
- The settings page provides real-time preview; after enabling or disabling a feature, you can immediately observe changes in the timeline and prompt text.
