Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH), as a browser-based client application, provides conversation statistics by default, usually displayed at the bottom of the chat interface. For developers or power users, the default statistics may contain redundant information, or certain metrics may not be important in the current session. The dsh-status-bar-config plugin is designed to address this issue. It allows users to take over and reconfigure the bottom statistics row via a plugin, without modifying the Harness source code.
Plugin Overview¶
This plugin is maintained by developer leonardoxr and belongs to the client category. It overrides the original conversation.composer.dock entry in a lower-priority slot, preserving the visual position and layout of the statistics row while giving users permission to independently control whether each metric is displayed.
Core Features¶
-
Independently Hide Metrics
Supports showing or hiding each specific metric in the statistics row independently. -
Configurable Options
The plugin supports configuring the following:- The entire statistics row
- Turns
- Steps
- LLM time
- Tool call time
- Average time to first token (TTFT)
- Decoding throughput
- Cache hit percentage
- Input token count
- Output token count
-
Data and Language
- By default, all metrics are enabled and maintain the standard order.
- The statistics bar follows the current DSH locale (English or Chinese).
- For the data source, durable whole-session projections are preferred when available; otherwise, it falls back to data from the loaded window.
Installation and Usage¶
-
Environment Requirements
Ensure that Node.js version >= 22 is installed in your local environment. -
Installation
Install the packaged tarball through DSH Profile. The specific workflow depends on the Profile configuration. -
Configuration
Open Settings(设置) -> Plugins(插件) -> Conversation statistics(对话统计). Changes made here take effect in real time.
Notes¶
- The plugin runs with the permissions of the DSH process. It is recommended to check the source code and license (MIT) before installation.
- Uncertain facts have been excluded, and the description is based only on verified materials.
Conclusion¶
If you need fine-grained control over statistics display in DeepSeek Harness, this plugin provides a solution without requiring source code modifications. The relevant source code and documentation can be found in its GitHub repository.
