Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture. During use, if you need to turn conversations into a long-running companion, or need consistent context across multiple channels (such as WeChat, Matrix, and Mattermost), temporary prompt-based solutions are often insufficient. The DSH Partner plugin is designed to address this problem. It provides each companion with an independent identity, model routing, and capability declarations, and supports unified memory and task management across channels.

Core Features

DSH Partner provides the following core capabilities:

  • Long-term companion management: Each companion has an independent identity, Agent Preset, model routing, and capability declarations. Conversations are not temporary prompts within a single session.
  • Multi-channel support: Supports three channels: WeChat, Matrix, and Mattermost.
  • Unified memory and user overview: Provides a unified memory list and a correctable user overview.
  • Skill marketplace: The built-in marketplace offers optional “Film Creation Workflow” and “Directing and Storyboard Design”. These include offline reference materials, templates, and licenses. They are loaded on demand and are not enabled by default.
  • Requirement board and task breakdown: Supports requirement board, task breakdown, and delivery.
  • MCP services and companion authorization: Supports centrally configuring HTTP / stdio services in the UI, then authorizing them per companion.
  • Channel attachment sending and receiving: Supports sending and receiving attachments such as images, files, audio, and video. Matrix / Mattermost direct messages support attachments, with up to 8 attachments per inbound message and 64 MB total.

Technical Requirements

  • Host version: Verified with host DSH 0.2.0-rc.2.
  • Runtime environment: Requires Node.js ^22.19.0 or >=24.0.0.
  • WeChat interface: Uses the Tencent WeChat iLink Bot API and does not simulate the personal WeChat web protocol.

Typical Usage

Submit a Plan

Call the submit_plan tool to save and submit an entire task group at once. If any dependency, authorization, or parameter is invalid, the whole submission is not saved. Network retries use the same submissionKey and the same payload.

Send an Attachment

When a companion explicitly specifies an attachment, use partner_send_attachment. The session provides native image content/download links, and bound channels send real files.

Notes

  • Conversation sharing: Local, WeChat, Matrix, and Mattermost for the same companion share the primary conversation.
  • Privacy isolation: Authorized contacts share conversation context. It is not suitable as a public bot for multi-user privacy isolation.
  • Channel limitations: Matrix encrypted rooms are still not supported. Audio and video are first saved or delivered as files and are not automatically transcribed.
  • Security check: Before installation, review the source code and license (MIT).
