Introduction¶
When developing or debugging with DeepSeek Harness (DSH), waiting for model output is often the most time-consuming part. Simply staring at a progress bar during this time can easily lead to visual fatigue. DSH is designed around the principle that “everything is a plugin,” allowing community members to extend its functionality within this framework. The dsh-plugin-colorguess provided by HDNRAY is designed for exactly this scenario: staying in the current conversation interface, without switching applications, and enjoying instant entertainment while waiting for inference to complete.
Plugin Positioning¶
This is an entertainment plugin independently developed and maintained by community member HDNRAY (MIT License). It does not contain the game code; instead, it acts as a host and renders a “ColorGuess” button in the session header. When clicked, it embeds a game page hosted on GitHub Pages via an iframe and provides floating-window interaction.
Core Features¶
- Draggable floating window: Supports moving the window by dragging the title bar; there are two resize handles in the bottom-left and bottom-right corners; use
✕or theEsckey to close the window. - Theme synchronization: The color scheme of the game interface follows DSH’s light/dark theme. The plugin sends a
{ source: 'colorguess-dsh', theme }message to the game page via thepostMessageprotocol. - Traceless interaction: After the floating window is closed, no traces or residual elements are left in the session area.
Installation and Enablement¶
Installing the plugin requires the web profile and can be done from the git repository:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:HDNRAY/dsh-plugin-colorguess
After installation, restart dsh web. A ColorGuess button will appear in the session header (the action area in the top-right corner of the chat page). Click it to open the floating window.
Typical Usage¶
While waiting for the model to produce a result, click the ColorGuess button. You can then play a round of the “mixed-color three-choice” game. The window will automatically match the current light/dark theme of DSH.
Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶
- Runtime environment: The plugin only supports the
webplatform (browser side) and has no mini-program or native implementations. It must run on DSH version0.1.2-alpha.2. - Network requirements: The game page is hosted on GitHub Pages, so an internet connection is required to load it.
- Permissions and privacy: The plugin does not request any special permissions, does not read or write local files, does not access session content, and does not inject or modify prompts.
- Anonymous statistics: The game page includes anonymous visit statistics (Umami). It only records page visits and in-game events (such as start, answer, and end), does not use cookies for cross-site tracking, and does not collect account or session content.
Summary¶
This plugin addresses the boredom of waiting for model output through simple floating-window interaction, while maintaining minimal permission intrusion. More details can be found in the community catalog or the source repository.
