Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) emphasizes the “everything is a plugin” ecosystem philosophy. When building agents or workflows that require academic writing capabilities, literature search, citation standards, and compile checking for LaTeX documents are frequent and cumbersome tasks. dsh-research-writing aims to integrate these scattered tools into the DSH plugin system and provide a one-stop solution.
What Is It¶
This is a “research writing” toolkit for DeepSeek Harness, maintained by developer Flan246. It packages literature search and citation features (dsh-lit-search) together with LaTeX/BibTeX guard features (dsh-latex-guard) into a single plugin, addressing the need for researchers to frequently switch between toolchains when working with documents.
Core Features¶
This plugin bundle includes the following command sets:
- Literature Search and Citation (
dsh-lit-search):lit_search/lit_related: search literature based on Crossref and OpenAlex.lit_cite: generate citation entries, supporting GB/T 7714, APA, and BibTeX formats (including arXiv preprints).
- LaTeX and BibTeX Guarding (
dsh-latex-guard):latex_check: perform compile checks usinglatexmk, with automatic detection of the compilation engine.bib_lint/bib_fill: validate and auto-fill BibTeX files.cite_audit: audit citations in documents.
Installation and Enablement¶
Installing this plugin bundle automatically introduces and registers its two dependent subplugins.
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-research-writing
Note: Do not install this plugin bundle together with the standalone versions of dsh-lit-search or dsh-latex-guard in the same Profile, otherwise the command-line tools will be duplicated.
Typical Usage¶
This plugin provides standalone CLI tools that can be invoked directly using npx with the following example commands:
# 检索文献
npx dsh-lit-search search "mixture of experts" -n 5
# 生成特定格式的引用
npx dsh-lit-search cite 10.1038/nature14539 -s gbt7714
# 检查 LaTeX 文档
npx dsh-latex-guard check ./my-paper main.tex
# 自动填充 BibTeX 文件
npx dsh-latex-guard bib-fill refs.bib --write
Use Cases and Notes¶
- Target users: developers or researchers who need to conduct academic literature research, manage citation standards, or debug LaTeX document compilation.
- Environment requirements: Node.js >= 20 is required.
- Permissions: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. It is recommended to review the source code and license before installation.
This plugin simplifies the installation process through a bundle format, making it suitable for users who need a standardized academic writing toolchain. For more details, visit the GitHub repository.
