The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) ecosystem has many plugins, but beginners often do not know how to start or what these plugins can do. The dsh-beginner-hub plugin fills this gap. It is a “requirement routing + lightweight guidance” panel for complete beginners. It uses a local rule engine to route a plain-language requirement into a “ready-to-use” solution (a direct prompt to ask, available skill references, and advanced DSH techniques), and supports one-click filling into a new session.

Installation and Enablement

The installation command is as follows:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-beginner-hub

This plugin does not depend on external runtime libraries. It uses local keyword rules for classification, makes no network requests, and stores all data locally.

Core Features

This plugin mainly includes the following modules:

  • Requirement Routing: Based on a local rule engine, it supports recognition of 9 intent categories with a fallback. After entering a plain-language requirement, it generates a solution card containing a “direct prompt to ask”, “available skill references”, and “advanced DSH techniques”.
  • One-Click Fill into New Session: The solution card provides a “Fill into New Session” button, directly filling the prompt into DSH’s Lexical input box.
  • Skill Filtering: Provides a read-only scan feature, displays the list of installed skills, and detects whether dsh-skill-manager is installed.
  • Beginner Guidance: Displays a guidance card on first entry and provides a checkable “Beginner Self-Check List”, using localStorage to remember local state.
  • Advanced Features: Includes environment self-checks (detecting models/credentials/Ollama) and a quick reference for common commands.
  • Dynamic Fallback: When local rules do not match, it provides fallback options such as “Search Online” and “GitHub Inline Search”, supporting direct filling of results into the session.
  • Floating Panel Interaction: The panel is independently draggable, its position is automatically remembered, and it supports using Esc to close the panel and Enter or Ctrl+Enter in the routing input box to trigger a solution.

Usage

  1. Input Requirement: Enter a plain-language requirement in the panel’s input box, for example, “I want to learn RAG clearly.”
  2. Get Solution: The local rule engine automatically classifies the input and generates a solution card.
  3. Execute Action: Click the “Fill into New Session” button on the solution card to fill the prompt into the DSH input box; or press Enter/Ctrl+Enter directly in the input box to generate a solution.

Ecosystem Positioning and Privacy

Installation and management of skills and plugins is delegated to mature plugins in the ecosystem, avoiding reinventing the wheel. This plugin adopts a zero-runtime-dependency design. Data is processed entirely locally, without privacy leakage or additional token consumption.
