Introduction¶
The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” In real-world development, building a stable workflow usually requires developers to configure model routing, project context injection, task orchestration, and specific output styles separately. These components can be cumbersome to install and maintain individually.
dsh-suite is a packaged solution designed to address this issue. It integrates multiple DSH plugins and agent skills, allowing installation and configuration with a single command to reduce repetitive work.
What Is It¶
This is a productivity suite for DeepSeek Harness, including plugins and agent skills. It is maintained by Andre Pontes Melo. Its core value is standardizing common high-frequency development capabilities (such as model fault tolerance, project cold starts, and task tiering) and integrating them into a reusable configuration.
Core Features¶
The suite includes the following components:
-
Model Router Plugin (
dsh-model-router)
Routes through virtual model IDs to real provider/model candidates. Supports priority failover, polling, and downtime window configuration to improve the stability of model calls. -
Project Context Injection (
deep-horizon)
Injects the project’s “horizon” (including unfinished gaps and related descriptions) into every new session. This helps enable context sharing for cold-start projects, ensuring new sessions can quickly align with project goals. -
Implementation and Review Loop (
strong-orchestrator)
Provides sequential “implementation → review” loop orchestration and uses a persistent executor to manage the process. -
Task Hierarchy Management (
dex/dex-plan)
Supports hierarchical task structures (Epic, subtask) and validates them via the dex CLI. -
Lazy Senior Developer Output Style (
ponytail)
Includes a set of output style skills (ponytail, audit, debt, gain, help, and review). This style family follows the principle of “shortest working diff wins,” reducing redundant output.
Installation and Activation¶
Before installation, ensure a DSH profile has been created. Use the following command to install:
dsh plugin --profile <profile> add github:andrepontesmelo/dsh-suite
This command installs the package, pulls its dependent plugins (@andrepontesmelo/dsh-model-router and deep-horizon), and registers configuration patches that point to the DSH skill discovery path.
After installation, you must restart Harness for all components in the suite to take effect in the target profile.
Verify Installation¶
After restarting Harness, run the following command to verify the installation:
dsh plugin --profile <profile> list
Make sure the output includes lines related to model-router, deep-horizon, and skill-suite.
Notes¶
- Profile Dependency: A DSH profile must be specified for installation.
- Version Pinning: Dependencies are pinned to specific release tags (
deep-horizon#v0.2.0,@andrepontesmelo/dsh-model-router#v0.2.1). To avoid installation drift, it is recommended to use tags rather than branches during installation. - Skill Registration: The suite registers a set of agent skills into the target profile. It is recommended to review the source code and license before installation.
- License: MIT.
Summary¶
dsh-suite simplifies the workflow setup process for DeepSeek Harness through a plugin- and module-based approach. For teams or individuals who need standardization, it provides out-of-the-box model fault tolerance and development assistance capabilities. Be sure to read the source code before installation to ensure it meets the security requirements of your current workflow.
