Introduction

The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” If you need to use a WorkBuddy (International or China edition) subscription quota, but DSH does not natively support that service, this plugin can help. It runs a local gateway to convert WorkBuddy’s subscription API into an OpenAI-compatible API for DSH to call.

Plugin Overview

  • Name: dsh-plugin-workbuddy-gateway
  • Maintainer: Acoder416
  • Category: Model inference
  • License: MIT
  • Core features: Manage WorkBuddy accounts, the local gateway, and model routing on the DSH settings page. The gateway converts the WorkBuddy International or China edition subscription APIs into OpenAI-compatible APIs.

Core Features

  1. Gateway control: Start, stop, or restart the gateway in “Settings → WorkBuddy,” and view the port, process, and logs.
  2. Account management: Import accounts from the desktop client or log in via browser OAuth authorization. Displays account credit balance and the latest confirmed check-in/clawm status.
  3. Account operations: Enable, disable, or remove accounts; the gateway selects available accounts in the same region.
  4. Model routing: Writes the gateway models into the DSH llm-pi-ai provider configuration.
  5. Platform support: Runs and manages the gateway process on Windows/macOS/Linux, and supports desktop credential scanning.

Installation and Enablement

Before installing, make sure the web profile has been installed and initialized, with Web settings, credentials, and the llm-pi-ai service available.

  1. Install the plugin:
    dsh plugin --profile web add "github:Acoder416/dsh-plugin-workbuddy-gateway#v0.2.6"
  1. Enable the plugin:
    After installation, it must be enabled manually. Edit ~/.dsh/profiles/web/package.json (or the corresponding directory for a custom profile), and add the plugin name to the end of the dsh.profile.bundles array:
    {
      "dsh": {
        "profile": {
          "bundles": [
            "@deepseek-ai/dsh-base",
            "@deepseek-ai/dsh-web-app",
            "dsh-plugin-workbuddy-gateway"
          ]
        }
      }
    }
Save the file, then stop and restart DSH, and refresh the browser.

Usage Steps

  1. Open “Settings → WorkBuddy” and confirm that the gateway is started. By default, it listens on 127.0.0.1:18088.
  2. Select the International or China region, then import an account (click “Scan desktop account” or “Browser authorization login”).
  3. Check the account credits. You can manually refresh credits or perform China-edition check-in.
  4. Click “Write model routing.” After refreshing the page, the corresponding model can be selected in the DSH model selector.

Notes

  • Unofficial integration: This plugin is not an official WorkBuddy / Tencent integration. It relies on internal subscription APIs and DSH internal extension APIs. API changes may break functionality, and usage may trigger terms-of-service restrictions or account risk controls.
  • Environment dependencies: The web profile must be installed and initialized, with Web settings, credentials, and the llm-pi-ai service available.
  • Data security: Sensitive information such as account access tokens and refresh tokens is stored in $DSH_HOME/workbuddy/accounts/. Do not upload it to public code repositories or include it in feedback screenshots. Keep listening local and enforce API authentication.
  • Version pinning: It is recommended to install the fixed version v0.2.6.

Summary

This plugin uses a local gateway bridge to integrate WorkBuddy subscription capabilities into the DSH ecosystem. For users who need this service but lack native integration, it is a viable alternative.
