In the development practice of DSH, scattered skill directories, MCP server connection configuration, and registration of local CLI tools often require manually editing multiple files. The dsh-s-m-c-center plugin provides a unified Web UI settings page, bringing the agent’s three core tool types (skills, MCP servers, and local CLI) into a single interface for management.
Plugin Overview¶
Maintained by YpipaQ, this plugin aims to add a settings page to the DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Web GUI. It does not require modifying DSH source code. By installing an npm package and applying a configuration patch, it enables skill browsing and toggling, session-level skill injection, actual MCP server connections, and discovery and registration of local CLI tools.
Core Features¶
-
Skill Management
- Supports browsing, enabling, and disabling skills.
- Supports importing skills.
- Provides a “session default” setting and assigns an independent skill set to each conversation.
- The plugin maintains a unified skill store and does not directly touch original
SKILL.mdfiles.
-
MCP Server Management
- Provides forms and a JSON editor to create and modify MCP server configurations.
- Supports toggling between active and archived states.
- Provides a one-time connection test feature.
- Establishes actual connections via
@deepseek-ai/dsh-mcp-client, rather than merely using configuration files.
-
Local CLI Tool Management
- Supports discovering and probing local CLI tools.
- Automatically registers system CLI tools.
- Detects installation status, version numbers, subcommands, and API keys.
Installation and Activation¶
The installation command is as follows:
npm install dsh-s-m-c-center
After installation, go to Settings -> Web UI Plugins -> Tool Management in the DeepSeek Harness Web UI to use it.
Applicable Scenarios and Notes¶
- Version Requirement: The plugin requires DeepSeek Harness version >= 0.1.2-alpha.2 and has currently been verified for compatibility up to 0.2.1-alpha.1.
- Zero Source Modification: Installation consists of one npm package plus a single-line configuration patch, and it does not change the DSH source code structure.
- Verification Result: The plugin has passed three rounds of external testing, with 16/16 tests successful.
Summary¶
dsh-s-m-c-center is a lightweight workflow plugin that resolves configuration and management challenges for three common tool types in DSH through a unified interface. It is suitable for developers who want to simplify the configuration process and centrally manage MCP servers and skill sets.
