Introduction

The default interface font and font size in DSH usually cannot meet everyone’s aesthetic preferences. dsh-font-enhancer is a pure client-side plugin that lets you adjust Chinese and English font, font size, line height, color, and other properties separately by region (for example, message area, sidebar, input box). It also supports unified global control and saving themes.

Installation

Install the plugin through the DSH command line:

dsh plugin --profile desktop add ./dsh-font-enhancer

You can also place the plugin folder in the node_modules/ directory and add the package name to the configuration file.

Features

Region Style Settings

The plugin presets 15 UI regions, including the left sidebar, Logo, New Session, Task Board, Workspace Name, Settings, Message Area, Session Title, Input Area, Tabs, Turn Indicator, Agent/Model Name, right extension panel, code block, and bottom expansion bar.
Select the checkbox corresponding to a region to expand the settings panel for that region. You can separately configure the region’s Chinese and English fonts, font size, line height, font weight (100-900 slider), italics, and text color.

Global Unification and Box Selection

If you want to adjust the styles of all regions at once, you can use the “Unified Color” or “Unified Font” features. After enabling these two switches, simply set one color picker or font, and all enabled regions will apply the setting.
For elements that are difficult to locate, you can use the “Box-Select Region” feature. Drag the mouse on the live page to box-select an element, and the system will automatically recognize it and generate the corresponding settings card.

Theme Management and Random Generation

After completing adjustments, you can save the current configuration as a named theme. Renaming and deleting themes are supported, and the settings are stored in localStorage, so they will not be lost after refreshing or restarting DSH.
The panel provides “Random Font” and “Random Color Scheme” buttons, which can quickly generate high-contrast color schemes or random font combinations. In addition, it supports one-click download and installation of cute fonts such as LXGW WenKai and De Dai Hei.
This plugin also shares a catalog of 128 skins with dsh-todo-float-ball and dsh-skill-browser. Switching the skin in any one place will synchronize the panel colors of the three floating balls in real time.

Usage Steps

  1. Click the floating Aa button in the lower-right corner of the interface.
  2. In the settings panel, select the checkboxes for the regions you want to adjust to expand the corresponding settings.
  3. Adjust the Chinese and English fonts, font size, line height, font weight, italics, and color separately.
  4. If you want the entire interface to be uniform, select “Unified Color” or “Unified Font”.
  5. After you are satisfied with the adjustments, click “Save Scheme” to save the current configuration as a named theme.

Platform and Limitations

The plugin runs purely on the client side, with no external dependencies or build steps. It supports the DSH web version (accessing the Web GUI in a browser) and the desktop version (Electron window).
The default Chinese font is Kaiti, and the default English font is Times New Roman. The available font list is consistent with Microsoft Word.
