DeepSeek Harness (DSH) supports multiple model integrations through its plugin-based architecture. When accessing Command Code’s Provider API through DSH, a dedicated Provider route and configuration entry point are required. The dsh-llm-commandcode plugin provides this capability by connecting the Command Code API to DSH’s chat protocol system through DSH’s PiAiAdapter.

Plugin Positioning

This is an LLM plugin for the Command Code Provider API. It is maintained by NOirBRight. It exists as a standalone Provider route (commandcode) and configuration namespace (llm-commandcode). Chat uses Command Code’s documented Provider API, with protocol conversion performed through DSH’s PiAiAdapter. Account quota tracking is an additional Host-side feature, is best-effort, and does not block chat.

Core Capabilities

  • Protocol Support: Supports Claude-* models (Anthropic Messages) and the OpenAI chat completions protocol. The model ID determines the protocol endpoint used.
  • Feature Integration: Supports serialization, Server-Sent Events (SSE), tool calling, attachments, and reasoning features.
  • Account Management: Account quota tracking (Host-only, best-effort). Quota functionality is best-effort, and failures do not block chat.
  • Data Security: API keys are securely stored only in the Host credential service, and the Host never returns them in plaintext.
  • Model Discovery: Retrieves the model list from the Provider API.
  • Configuration Options: Context Window Override functionality.

Installation and Enabling

Before installing, confirm that the local DeepSeek Harness version is 0.1.7-alpha.2 or 0.1.7-rc.1. Use the following commands:

dsh plugin --profile web add --force https://github.com/NOirBRight/dsh-llm-providers-ui/releases/download/v0.2.13/dsh-llm-providers-ui-0.2.13.tgz
dsh plugin --profile web add --force https://github.com/NOirBRight/dsh-llm-commandcode/releases/download/v0.1.35/dsh-llm-commandcode-0.1.35.tgz
dsh web

Typical Usage

  1. Enable UI: Install the dsh-llm-providers-ui plugin to enable the UI page.
  2. Trust Host: Use the dsh web --trusted-host command to trust the browser host and complete the browser authentication flow.
  3. Configure Settings: Open settings, go to the LLM Providers menu, and find the Command Code card.
  4. Fetch Models: Click the Fetch models button on the card to retrieve the model list and select a model.
  5. Adjust Features:
    • If you do not need to view quotas, set usageEnabled: false in the configuration to hide the quota panel.
    • If you need to protect privacy, enable zero-data-retention (ZDR) in the settings.

Use Cases and Notes

This plugin is suitable for developers who need to use the Command Code Provider API in a DSH environment. Please note the following:

  • Quota Mechanism: Quota functionality is Host-only and best-effort; failures do not block chat.
  • Zero Data Retention (ZDR): This feature is optional. If unavailable, upstream may return an HTTP 422 error.
  • Key Storage: API keys are stored only in the Host credential service, and the Host never returns them in plaintext.
  • Headless Mode: Even without a UI owner (Headless), the Host route commandcode remains available.
  • API Limitation: Only the official fixed Provider API URL is supported.

Summary

The plugin provides DSH with a standard way to connect to the Command Code Provider API, supporting mainstream chat protocols and feature capabilities. Related source code and catalog information can be viewed on GitHub or SkillHub.
