Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts a plugin-based architecture, but the official Web UI itself does not include a built-in Claude Code backend. When using Claude, developers often have to switch between the DSH and Claude Code interfaces, causing their session context to fragment. The relay-dsh-plugin-claude plugin solves this problem. It integrates Claude Code into the DSH Web UI as a native backend, allowing developers to use Claude without leaving the DSH interface.
Plugin Overview¶
The plugin is maintained by yangbobo2021 and released under the MIT license. It provides a native Claude conversation backend for the official DeepSeek Harness Web UI, aiming to achieve seamless integration with Claude Code through the Claude Agent SDK.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following core capabilities:
* Native backend integration: Uses Claude Code as a native conversation backend for DSH.
* Preserved native experience: Fully preserves DSH’s native session history, conversation input, approval workflow, question display, and tool panel.
* Session continuity: The same DSH session can maintain continuity with the same Claude Agent SDK session across multiple conversation turns.
* Hybrid tool support: Uses Claude’s model reasoning, interruption capability, and tools contributed by the DSH community in the same conversation.
Installation and Activation¶
Before installation, ensure that Node.js 22.13 or newer is installed and that pnpm is available in your system path. In addition, complete local Claude Code authentication before using Claude.
- Stop DSH Web: Stop the currently running DSH Web process.
- Install the plugin: Run the following command. The plugin is installed independently; there is no need to check out the Relay repository.
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh@0.1.6-alpha.1 plugin --profile web add relay-dsh-plugin-claude@0.2.4
- Restart DSH Web: Start DSH Web to load the new plugin.
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh@0.1.6-alpha.1 web
Typical Usage¶
After installation and restart, you can start using Claude Code in DSH:
1. Select New Session in the DSH interface.
2. Add and select a workspace.
3. Open the Standard mode menu and select Claude Code.
4. Enter a message and send it.
Use Cases and Notes¶
- Use case: Suitable for developers who want to use Claude Code within the DSH interface while retaining DSH’s native interactive experience (history, approvals, and tool display).
- Note: This plugin is not applicable to DSH’s standard agent. Credentials are stored in Claude Code’s local authentication mechanism; this plugin does not collect credentials. The plugin does not add Relay Events, file browsing, or terminal panel features; these are optional separate plugins.
Summary¶
By providing a native Claude Code backend, this plugin simplifies the workflow for using Claude in DSH. More plugins can be found in the SkillHub directory, and the source code is available on GitHub.
