Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture, aimed at enhancing capabilities through extension components. For users who want to directly use Agent Client Protocol (ACP) Agents in the DSH session UI, the dsh-acp-adapter plugin provides an integration solution. It allows inheriting native sessions, tool approval, and team collaboration capabilities in the DSH environment while maintaining control over ACP Agents.
Installation¶
Before installation, make sure the corresponding Agent CLI is installed and logged in on the host running DSH. Select the corresponding install command based on the runtime environment:
Desktop environment:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add @zaimokuza/dsh-acp-adapter@next
Web environment:
npx @deepseek-ai/dsh@0.2.0-rc.2 plugin --profile web add @zaimokuza/dsh-acp-adapter@next
After installation, manually click “Enable Now” in the plugin manager. After enabling, completely exit and reopen DSH to ensure the plugin is loaded.
Usage Steps¶
- Connect to an Agent: Open the Plugins → ACP adapter panel in DSH. The plugin includes a snapshot of the official ACP Agent catalog, which can be added directly; you can also manually add Agents outside the catalog.
- Verify the connection: After adding an Agent, check the connection status to ensure the Agent CLI is properly logged in.
- Start a session: In a new session, switch to the configured Agent model from the model selector.
- Run commands: Directly use the Agent’s ACP commands in the session, such as
devin acporcodebuddy --acp.
Core Features¶
- Native integration: Use AI Agents directly in the DSH session UI, inheriting native session management, tool approval, and team collaboration mechanisms.
- Automatic approval: Automatically approve DSH native tool requests for the current session, reducing manual intervention.
- Native approval cards: When an Agent requests approval, display a DSH native approval card to maintain UI consistency.
- Session control: Supports stopping the current turn, pressing Enter to queue input, and allowing the Agent to continue in the same session.
- Subagent viewing: Provides a read-only detail view for subagents, making it easier to monitor Agent behavior.
- Diagnostics export: Supports exporting ACP diagnostic records for troubleshooting.
Notes¶
- Updates and uninstallation: The plugin manager does not update automatically. Uninstalling the plugin does not remove the installed Agent CLI or log out the account.
- Prerequisite dependencies: The Agent CLI must be installed and logged in on the host running DSH.
- Tool control: The Agent’s built-in tools are still controlled by the Agent itself; the plugin does not interfere with the execution logic of these tools.
- Safe sharing: When exporting ACP diagnostic records or DSH native session logs, check and remove sensitive information (such as prompts, file paths, credentials, etc.).
