Preface

The DeepSeek Harness (DSH) architecture adopts a plugin-based design, making functional extension flexible. In practical development or usage, agents often need to synchronize execution status to a personal terminal, or receive instruction feedback from mobile clients. Existing third-party relay solutions carry privacy leakage risks or stability concerns. The dsh-clawbot plugin directly integrates with Tencent’s official ilink bot gateway, providing DSH with official WeChat access capability without requiring a self-hosted relay service.

Plugin Overview

This is a tool plugin that integrates DeepSeek Harness with WeChat’s official ilink bot gateway. It is maintained by user cryjkd and licensed under MIT. It allows the AI to proactively send WeChat notifications to the user, and supports listening to and automatically handling WeChat messages.

Installation and Activation

Install using the official command-line tool:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:cryjkd/dsh-clawbot

After installation, you must restart dsh web for the settings interface to take effect. After refreshing the page, a ClawBot section appears in the settings.

Usage Flow

  1. Open the DSH settings page and go to the ClawBot section.
  2. Click Bind WeChat / Refresh QR Code, then scan the QR code displayed on the panel with the WeChat app on your phone and confirm.
  3. After successful binding, the status card shows Bound, but the status text is WeChat connection disconnected.
  4. Find the newly appearing bot contact in WeChat and send any message. This step is used to unlock the sending credential context_token.
  5. Refresh the DSH panel. Once the status changes to WeChat online, you can send from the panel (Markdown is supported), or have the AI call the notify_wechat interface.

Core Features

1. Proactive AI Notifications

The plugin provides the notify_wechat interface. When executing long-running tasks or when the user’s decision is needed, the AI can call this interface to send a notification. Markdown formatting is supported.

2. Automatic Notifications

The settings interface has three automatic notification switches, all enabled by default:
* After task completion: Automatically push the task summary, results, and elapsed time after each response.
* When a task is blocked: Push a notification when the goal is blocked.
* When awaiting approval/answer: Proactively send a WeChat reminder when the AI needs the user to approve an operation or choose an answer.

3. Message Listening

Enable the Listen for WeChat messages and process them automatically switch in the settings:
* The plugin polls the WeChat gateway in the background (approximately once every 1.5 seconds) and only collects messages sent by the bound account itself.
* After receiving a message, the plugin creates an independent listening session (session ID format: clawbot-listen-*) for processing, without affecting the current main session.
* Media content such as images, files, and videos is downloaded to the local ~/.dsh/clawbot/media/ directory.

Interface Description

The plugin mounts the following tools/interfaces on the host side:

  • notify_wechat: Proactively send WeChat notifications from the AI.
  • wechat_bind: Bind WeChat and return a QR code link.
  • wechat_status: Query the binding status, connection status, and switch settings.

Notes and Limitations

  • Proactive sending rate limits: WeChat’s official ilink gateway enforces rate limits on proactive sending, and the allowed volume is low. This plugin is suitable only as a notification or decision channel, not as a high-frequency chat tool.
  • Forwarding limitation: The bot cannot receive articles and files that are forwarded to WeChat. Users must send the original link or the file itself.
  • Credential mechanism: The context_token is issued only after the bound user first sends a message to the bot. After it expires, another message must be sent in WeChat to restore it.
  • Permissions and restart: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. If you need to modify the plugin icon, replace the icon.png file and restart dsh web.
