Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) supports extending the Web interface through Bundle plugins. zhaoxuejie/dsh-plugin-internet-meme is a plugin that adds lightweight “trending meme” bullet-comment subtitles to DSH Web. When the Agent is thinking, calling tools, receiving tool results, or ending the current round, short prompts appear and drift upward on the right side. This plugin only enhances the browser interface; it does not modify model dialogue, tool-calling logic, or session records.

Core Features

  • Event subtitles: Covers five lifecycle event types: thinking, tool calls, tool results, and the end of the current round.
  • Local settings: Provides a dedicated “Meme Subtitles” page in DSH Settings; settings are saved in the current browser.
  • Customizable appearance: Provides four themes (Classic Trending Memes, Workplace Slacking, 2D Hype, Cyber Terminal), and supports customization of colors, density, font size, opacity, blur, and more.
  • Preview pipeline: Uses the Host → SSE → browser real rendering path and provides preview functionality.
  • Local sounds: Synthesized prompt tones and fixed status readouts are supported; disabled by default and no external audio is downloaded.
  • Privacy boundary: Does not read or transmit answer text, reasoning content, tool parameters, or tool result text.
  • Custom text pool: Supports up to 100 custom text items and allows the {tool} variable to substitute a tool name.

Installation

Install the latest version (v0.4.4) directly through the DSH CLI:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:zhaoxuejie/dsh-plugin-internet-meme#v0.4.4

After installation, restart the corresponding DSH Web profile to apply the changes.

Enable and Configure

  1. Open the DSH Web page and go to “Settings”.
  2. Select “Meme Subtitles” on the left.
  3. Keep “Show Subtitles” enabled and click “Preview Bullet Comments” to confirm that subtitles appear.
  4. If you need sounds, enable “Prompt Tones” and increase the volume, then click “Preview Bullet Comments” again to test.

Prompt tones are disabled by default and only play when the page is in the foreground, subtitles are enabled, and the volume is greater than 0. They will not play when the page loses focus or when the system has “Reduce Motion” enabled.

Applicable Scenarios and Boundaries

This plugin is suitable for users who want to perceive the execution rhythm of an Agent more intuitively in DSH Web. It does not read any answer, reasoning, or parameter text, and only displays event type, time, tool name, and similar information.
