Introduction¶
Tracking issues in DSH sessions usually requires invoking external tools through Bash, which introduces overhead for sandboxing and approval management. The dsh-mint plugin provides an alternative: it hosts the mint CLI directly within the DSH process and injects session context.
Core Capabilities¶
Session Context Injection¶
When a session starts, the plugin injects an overview showing open issues and milestones. This helps the Agent understand the current working state.
Zero-Approval Host Tools¶
The Agent runs the entire mint CLI through a host tool inside the plugin. This means no Bash invocations, no sandbox write access, and no approval prompts. Subagents inherit this tool as well.
Cross-Project Work and Write Confirmation¶
The target project defaults to the session’s current working directory (cwd), so calls for its own project do not require the -p flag. For cross-project calls, write operations require one confirmation specifying the target project and operation name. The plugin rejects unknown projects and displays the candidate list.
Plan Mode Binding¶
When a project has no active plan, the plugin rejects exit_plan_mode, preventing host plans from diverging from the mint plan. If the session has not written anything to mint, exiting plan mode appends a reminder requiring work registration.
Git Commit Reminder¶
After running git commit (including via uv run git commit), the plugin reminds the Agent to register the commit using issue state commit --sha.
Bash Fallback Gate¶
If the plugin is not loaded, the Agent can use Bash. The first mint sandbox escalation is approved once, and subsequent escalations are approved automatically.
Sidebar Panel¶
The “Add Tab” menu in the right sidebar (next to “Workspace Files” and “New Terminal”) includes a read-only Mint panel showing the current project’s Issues, plans, and milestones.
Installation¶
The plugin requires the --allow-build flag because pnpm blocks build scripts by default.
dsh plugin --profile web add @yanqd0/dsh-mint \
--allow-build=@yanqd0/dsh-mint --allow-build=mint-faa
Typical Usage¶
- The Agent runs the mint CLI through the host tool.
- Project calls for the current directory do not require the
-pflag. - When performing write operations, the system asks for confirmation of the target project and operation.
- The Agent needs to remember to register commits using
issue state commit --sha. - If there is no active plan,
exit_plan_modeis rejected.
Notes¶
- Destructive Commands:
delete,import,sync,export,tui, and the global--dbflag are rejected. - Version Requirements: DSH 0.1.1-rc.2 and Node.js >= 20 are required.
- Language: Model-facing text is currently written in Chinese.
- Auto-Approval Limits:
autoApprovecannot silently bypass the write confirmation gate. - Mint CLI: Resolved through the
mint-faadependency (>=0.8.0 <1.0.0).
Summary¶
dsh-mint addresses the need for structured issue and plan tracking in DSH sessions. By using zero-approval host tools and context injection, it reduces external dependencies and approval overhead. Author: yanqd0, MIT license.
