Introduction

In the development of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) workflows, completed multi-turn conversations typically remain in session context and do not become reusable assets. This increases the cost of reinventing the wheel. The relay-dsh-plugin-skill-creator plugin addresses this issue by registering a skill named conversation-to-skill, which automatically converts completed DSH conversations into validated, structured DSH skill directories.

Feature Overview

This plugin is an open-source DSH plugin maintained by yangbobo2021. Its core capabilities include:

  • Conversation to Skill: Packages multi-turn conversations directly into reusable DSH skills.
  • Structured Output: Generated skill packs include the SKILL.md, references/, scripts/, and assets/ directories.
  • Automated Validation: Before writing files, it performs structure validation, PII-canary gating, generated script checks, and DSH discovery.
  • Testing and Routing: Creates a new Session under the same DSH account to test the skill’s natural routing and reusability.
  • Contract Conversion: Automatically converts user corrections into numbered requirements, evidence, tests, and oracle contracts.

Installation and Enablement

The plugin is distributed as an npm package. In a DSH environment, the corresponding npm package must be installed and its Cordis patch applied.

  1. Run the installation command in the DSH host environment:
npm install relay-dsh-plugin-skill-creator

After installation, the plugin automatically registers the conversation-to-skill skill and applies the configuration patch. For repository development, it can also be installed from a GitHub URL.

Usage Flow

At the end of a valuable multi-turn DSH conversation, the conversation can be converted into a skill through a command or skill invocation.

  1. Trigger Conversion: At the end of the conversation, request DSH to convert the conversation into a skill, or explicitly invoke conversation-to-skill.
  2. Contract Generation: The plugin first converts user corrections into numbered requirements, evidence, tests, and oracle contracts.
  3. Proposal Confirmation: The plugin presents the target path, full file tree, requirement coverage, exclusions, and validation plan. Writing occurs only after explicit confirmation.
  4. Generation and Validation: The plugin generates a micro-bundle containing the proposal and token budget, and performs structure validation, PII-canary checks, and script checks before writing.
  5. Test Reuse: If Session creation is available, the plugin automatically creates a new Session to test the skill’s natural routing and reusability.

Notes

  • Resources Created on Demand: Resources (such as assets) are created only when the extracted workflow explicitly requires them; empty directories are not generated.
  • Context Limitation: V1 uses only conversations and artifacts visible in the current DSH context and does not access expired or hidden history.
  • Budget Reporting: Small bundles include the proposal and generated token budget. Any overage is reported accurately.
  • License: The plugin is released under the MIT License.
  • Security Review: Before installation, it is recommended to inspect the source code to confirm its security.

Summary

relay-dsh-plugin-skill-creator provides an automated pipeline from conversations to standardized skill packs. Through structure validation, PII checks, and Session testing, it ensures that generated skills are high-quality and reusable.
