Preface

The Web GUI of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) usually requires zooming on mobile devices to be viewed clearly. For developers accustomed to mobile interaction, the desktop layout can feel cumbersome. dsh-wechat-mobile-skin uses in-memory injection to automatically present the Web GUI in a WeChat-like conversation list and chat interface when accessed from a mobile browser, while keeping the desktop experience unchanged.

Core Features

Conversation List
Historical conversations are displayed in a WeChat friend-list style: the avatar uses the first character of the conversation title + a rounded square colored by the title hash, and shows the nickname (trimmed if too long), relative time, and unread status dot.

Chat Page
Uses WeChat-style chat bubbles: user messages appear as green bubbles (#95EC69) aligned to the right, while assistant messages appear as white bubbles aligned to the left. It supports notched-screen adaptation (viewport-fit=cover) and forces a light theme on mobile.

Technical Implementation
The plugin is implemented through in-memory injection and does not modify files in dist. It supports physical/gesture back navigation on mobile devices and automatically adapts to mobile UA strings.

Installation and Configuration

Install the plugin:

dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-wechat-mobile-skin

After installation, add the configuration in cordis.patch.yml. Main configuration items include:

  • enabled: Master switch; default is true.
  • prefix: Static asset route prefix; default is dsh-wechat-mobile-skin.
  • navTitle: Title shown at the top of the conversation list; default is DeepSeek.
  • forceTablet: Treats iPad desktop-mode UA as mobile as well; default is true.

Notes

  • The skin uses a fixed WeChat-like light color scheme (light theme is forced on mobile). Desktop dark-theme preferences are unaffected.
  • It is mutually exclusive with plugins that directly modify dist/index.html.
  • The plugin is released under the MIT license.

Conclusion

This plugin solves the poor interaction experience of the mobile Web GUI, allowing you to quickly switch view styles without modifying the source code.
