Preface

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) adopts an “everything is a plugin” architecture. When building agent applications, if processing visual data and identifying wildlife in it is required, manually integrating models can be costly. The xby-wild-animal-detection plugin encapsulates this capability, allowing developers to directly invoke the detection service through a command.

Core Features

The plugin provides the following core capabilities:

  • set_xby_apikey: Sets the API key in the chat. The key is automatically persisted and remains valid after the process is restarted.
  • wild_animals_detection: Takes an image as input and outputs the detection boxes, confidence scores, and labels for all wildlife identified in the image. A link to the image file is required.
  • wild_animals_detection_for_data_base64: Takes an image as input and outputs the detection boxes, confidence scores, and labels for all wildlife identified in the image. The BASE64 encoding of the image file is required.
  • wild_animals_detection_for_data_file: Takes an image as input and outputs the detection boxes, confidence scores, and labels for all wildlife identified in the image. A file path to the image file is required.

Installation and Enablement

Use the DSH CLI tool to install the plugin.

# 格式:dsh plugin --profile <profile> add github:<owner>/<repo>
dsh plugin --profile web add github:xby_skill/xby-wild-animal-detection

After installation, the plugin is loaded automatically, and the above features can be used in chat or scripts.

Typical Usage

Before use, set the API key first, and then choose the corresponding detection command based on the format of the image data.

  1. Set the API Key:
Enter the command in the chat to set the key:
   set_xby_apikey <你的API密钥>
  1. Identify an Image:
Choose the command based on how the image is stored:
    * Image file link:
       wild_animals_detection <图片链接>
  • BASE64 encoding of the image file:
       wild_animals_detection_for_data_base64 <BASE64字符串>
  • File path of the image file:
       wild_animals_detection_for_data_file /path/to/image.jpg

Notes

  • API Key Dependency: The plugin depends on the service provided by the Xiaoben Yang official website. Before use, you must visit the official website, register, and obtain a valid API key.
  • Runtime Permissions: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Before installation, inspect the source code to ensure it meets your security requirements.
  • License: This plugin is open source under the MIT License.

Summary

The plugin provides basic wildlife visual recognition capability for DSH agents. Through simple command invocation, image analysis can be implemented within the conversation flow. The plugin directory and source code repository are as follows:
