The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” When building agents, losing context after a session ends is a common problem. The following introduces a plugin that implements categorized memory storage and retrieval.
Plugin Overview¶
xby-remember-memory is a DeepSeek Harness (DSH) plugin: a categorized memory service maintained by xby-skill. It is a category-based persistent memory system that allows storing and retrieving categorized memory information across chat sessions.
Core Features¶
This plugin provides the following capabilities:
set_xby_apikey: Sets the API key in chat. The key is persisted automatically and remains valid after restart.remember_memory: Stores memories under a specified category. Optional tags are supported.retrieve_memories: Retrieves all memories under a specified category.remove_memory_category: Removes all memories under a specified category.remove_specific_memory: Removes a specific memory under a specified category.
Installation and Enabling¶
It is recommended to install using the official command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:xby_skill/xby-remember-memory
For local development and debugging, you can use the following methods:
* Install from a local directory:
dsh plugin --profile web add /absolute/path/to/xby-remember-memory
- Develop and debug via
cordis.patch.yml:
dsh web --profile web --patch /absolute/path/to/dsh-ocr-plugin/cordis.patch.yml
Configuration¶
Before use, you need to register on the Xiaobenyang official website and obtain an API key.
Typical Usage¶
- Set the key: Use
set_xby_apikeyto set the API key in the conversation. - Store memories: Use
remember_memoryto store tagged memories. - Retrieve memories: Use
retrieve_memoriesto retrieve memories from a specified category. - Clean up memories: Use
remove_memory_categoryto remove all memories in a category, or useremove_specific_memoryto remove a specific memory.
Notes¶
- Methods 2 and 3 are intended only for local development and debugging.
- The plugin runs with the permissions of the current dsh process. It is recommended to check the source code and license before installation.
Conclusion¶
With this plugin, cross-session memory management can be implemented in agents built with DSH. For more details, see the plugin catalog or the GitHub repository.
