Introduction¶
In development or usage scenarios of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), you may sometimes need to convert data into visual charts. Calling the Quick Chart API directly requires familiarity with its specific parameter syntax. The xby-quick-chart plugin provides a standardized interface for interacting with Quick Chart, simplifying this process.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a server based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), providing a standardized interface for interacting with Quick Chart and supporting chart generation and management.
Core Features¶
- set_xby_apikey: Sets an API key in the chat. This action is automatically persisted and remains valid after restarting the process.
- GetChartImgLink: Renders a chart based on the parameters and returns an image link. Its parameter syntax follows the Quick Chart API (quickchart.io) specification.
Installation¶
Use the following command to install the plugin from GitHub:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:xby_skill/xby-quick-chart
Configuration and Usage¶
Obtaining an API Key¶
Before using this plugin, you need to register on the Xiaobenyang official website and obtain an API key.
Setting the Key¶
In the DSH chat interface, call the set_xby_apikey command and enter the key you obtained. The system automatically saves this configuration.
Generating Charts¶
When calling the GetChartImgLink function, you can generate a chart and get the link directly by using Quick Chart parameter syntax.
Notes¶
- Key Persistence: The API key is saved automatically, remains valid after restart, and does not need to be set again.
- Permission Requirements: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Please review the source code and license before installation.
Summary¶
The plugin wraps Quick Chart calls into an MCP interface, lowering the barrier to using chart generation. For more details, see the Plugin Directory or the GitHub repository.
