Preface

When building agents based on DeepSeek Harness (DSH), integrating specific business logic often requires writing additional code. The xby-mbit-test plugin provides agents with MBTI personality testing capabilities directly via the MCP protocol, including guided answering, progress tracking, and result analysis.

Plugin Overview

The plugin is maintained by xby-skill and belongs to the category of model inference tools. It is an MCP server intended to enable AI assistants to guide users through personality tests and provide result analysis.

Core Features

The plugin provides the following tool interfaces:

  • set_xby_apikey: Sets an API key during a conversation. This key is automatically persisted and remains valid after restart.
  • start_mbti_test: Starts an MBTI personality test. Supports two test types: simplified (Simplified, 28 questions) and cognitive (Cognitive Functions, 48 questions). Upon invocation, it returns the first question and the test session state.
  • answer_question: Submits the answer to the current question (score of 1–5). The complete test session state must be passed in, and it returns the next question or the test progress.
  • get_progress: Queries the current test progress. The test session state must be passed in.
  • calculate_mbti_result: Calculates the final MBTI type and detailed results based on all answers. The complete test session state must be passed in.

Installation and Configuration

The installation command is as follows:

dsh plugin --profile web add github:xby_skill/xby-mbit-test

Before using the plugin, you need to obtain an API key. Go to the Xiaobenyang official website to register and obtain it, then enter it in the conversation via the set_xby_apikey interface.

Typical Usage

  1. Set the API key.
  2. Call start_mbti_test and select a test type (for example, simplified).
  3. After the user answers, submit the score via answer_question.
  4. During the answering process, you can call get_progress at any time to check the progress.
  5. After the test is completed, call calculate_mbti_result to obtain the final analysis report.

Notes

The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. It is recommended to review the source code and license before installation. The license is MIT, and the API key must be obtained from the official website.
