Introduction¶
When typing in the DSH Web composer, there is usually no ready-made shortcut for recalling the previous message or correcting the most recent input. This interaction gap increases the cost of typing and drafting. The dsh-composer-recall plugin provides an intuitive input-history management approach through arrow keys, addressing this interaction problem.
Plugin Overview¶
This is a DSH plugin maintained by WongYuYe, designed to add arrow-key-based input history to the DSH Web composer.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides the following operations:
- ↑ (Up arrow): When the input box is empty or the cursor is at the beginning of the draft, recall the most recent user message in the current session. Press it again to view earlier messages.
- ↓ (Down arrow): Move forward through the history.
- Esc: Exit history mode and restore the draft content the user was editing before entering history.
- Compatibility: Supports the DSH Lexical input box.
Installation and Activation¶
Before installing, make sure your DeepSeek Harness version is 0.1.2-alpha.1 or later and that you are using the Lexical input box.
Install via the command line:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add dsh-composer-recall
Or install from the GitHub repository:
dsh plugin --profile desktop add github:WongYuYe/dsh-composer-recall
Install from source:
git clone https://github.com/WongYuYe/dsh-composer-recall.git
cd dsh-composer-recall
dsh plugin --profile desktop add .
After installation, refresh the Web GUI or restart DSH Desktop to make it take effect.
Usage¶
- Focus the input box.
- While the draft is empty or the cursor is at the beginning, press ↑ to recall the most recent message.
- Press ↑ again to view earlier messages, and use ↓ to return.
- Press Esc to exit the history and restore the draft content you were editing.
- If you type text while browsing the history, the recalled content is preserved and history mode exits.
Notes¶
- History Source: The history only includes user messages already displayed in the current session, not a global history across workspaces.
- Version Requirement: DeepSeek Harness 0.1.2-alpha.1 or later is required.
- Compatibility Warning: If outdated history plugins that read
session.getSnapshot().nodesor<textarea>are installed, crashes or unresponsiveness may occur.
Summary¶
The dsh-composer-recall plugin provides a mechanism to quickly review and back up input in the DSH Web interface, making it suitable for scenarios that require frequent reference to context while drafting. For more details, see the plugin directory or the source repository.
