Introduction

The core philosophy of DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is “everything is a plugin.” When developing with DSH, you may sometimes need to inject a fixed set of behavioral constraints or system prompts into every model request. If added manually, the operation must be repeated for each session, or it may be easily overridden by later conversations. The dsh-quiet-mode plugin solves this problem by automatically injecting a fixed operational discipline into every round of model requests.

What It Is

dsh-quiet-mode is a client-side plugin maintained by viyiviyi. It is mainly used to inject fixed system prompts (operational discipline) into every round of model requests in DSH.

Installation and Activation

Before installing, please ensure your terminal environment meets the requirements (Node.js 22.19 or 24+), and then run the following commands:

dsh plugin --profile web add .

The command writes the package to $DSH_HOME/profiles/web and automatically appends it to dsh.profile.bundles.

After installation, you must restart the dsh web service for the changes to take effect. After restarting, newly opened sessions will automatically include the specified discipline, while existing sessions will not be retroactively affected.

Configuration

The plugin’s default text and switch are defined in lib/index.js inside the package. To modify them, override the settings at the profile configuration layer. Do not directly modify cordis.patch.yml inside the package, because that file will be overwritten during package updates.

Edit the configuration file $DSH_HOME/profiles/web/cordis.patch.yml:

Note: Profile-level configuration replaces Bundle-level configuration as a whole; it does not perform field-by-field deep merging. After making changes, you must also restart dsh web.

Uninstall

dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-quiet-mode
