During the development of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), tracking token consumption, tool call duration, and skill trigger events is key to optimizing model performance. The dsh-dashboard plugin adds a Statistics tab to the DSH Web preview to display this real-time data.

Plugin Overview

This plugin is maintained by VinciBeans and aims to provide session-level detailed statistics. It reads session snapshots and built-in projection data from the DSH host, with all calculations performed on the client side, avoiding cross-process @Remote calls.

Core Features

The plugin provides real-time statistics across the following dimensions:

  • Token-level statistics: Displays input tokens (including cache hits), output tokens, and cache hit rate.
  • Timing statistics: Records LLM processing time, tool execution time, Time to First Token (TTFT), and decoding rate.
  • Tool activity tracking: Aggregates call counts, failure counts, total duration, and average duration for each tool, with visual differentiation by color.
  • Skill invocation tracking: Displays triggered skill tools in the session as tags.
  • Real-time updates: Metrics refresh dynamically as the session progresses.

Installation and Enablement

Install from npm

Installing via npm is recommended. The plugin automatically builds the host and client packages without any additional steps.

dsh plugin --profile web add @wenqi_bian/dsh-dashboard

Install from source

If you need to develop or debug locally, you can install from source:

  1. Clone the repository and enter the directory.
  2. Run the bundling command to generate the client and host files:
    pnpm run bundle
  1. Run the installation command in the repository root:
dsh plugin --profile web add .

After installation, restart DSH Web, open the conversation window, and the Statistics view will appear in the sidebar.

Notes

  • Version compatibility: Only compatible with dsh v0.1.2-alpha.1 through v0.1.3-alpha.2. Not compatible with 0.1.1-rc.2 or earlier versions.
  • Data source: All statistics are calculated on the client side based on session snapshots.
  • Language settings: The UI language follows the DSH host settings (zh / en).

Ecosystem Context

DeepSeek Harness follows the “everything is a plugin” philosophy. This plugin is an independent project in the community catalog and has no official affiliation with DeepSeek or Huanfang.
