Preface

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin architecture. Legal applications require real-time, structured data, but often lack access to internal databases (such as Faxin). This plugin logs in to your Faxin account and provides structured data to the AI.

Plugin Positioning

Name: dsh-faxin-search
One-liner: Logs in to a Faxin account and provides DeepSeek Harness with structured legal retrieval tools (laws/cases/outlines, etc.).
Maintainer: sousike
License: MIT

Installation

Add the plugin through the CLI:

dsh plugin --profile desktop add link:<absolute path to this plugin directory>

Core Features

The plugin provides login support and a set of MCP tools (public names mcp__faxin__*).

Login and Session

  • Login methods: Supports password login; if a CAPTCHA appears, follow the prompts. Supports Cookie import as a fallback.
  • Session detection: Detected via faxin_check_login, supports a 30-minute cache; set force=true for forced detection.
  • Session storage: Cookies are stored locally only, not uploaded to the cloud. Manual verification is required if a CAPTCHA appears.

Retrieval Tools (MCP)

  • Law search (faxin_search_law): Supports central and local regulations, with timeliness filters (currently in force, lapsed, amended, not yet in force).
  • Direct article retrieval (faxin_get_tiao): Retrieves full text, document number, and effective date by law name (abbreviations allowed) + article number.
  • Detail retrieval (faxin_get_detail): Retrieves full details and metadata (including timeliness and legal force level) by gid; can retrieve precisely by article.
  • Case search (faxin_search_case): Searches adjudical rules and specialized libraries; access to paid libraries depends on account permissions.
  • Specialized libraries (faxin_search_lib): Covers treaties, Hong Kong/Macau laws, law journals, and more.
  • Outline search (faxin_search_outline / faxin_get_outline): Faxin outline concepts and knowledge trees.

GUI Panel

A floating widget in the bottom-left corner provides an embedded login page, session status, and quick retrieval demos.

Typical Usage

Search Recommendations

Prefer searching by cause-of-action terms or the original statutory language. Abstract concepts have a lower hit rate.

Specific Invocation Examples

  1. Statute citation: If the law name and article number are known, call faxin_get_tiao directly.
  2. Timeliness verification: Before citing a statute, use faxin_get_detail to verify the meta timeliness to ensure the citation is valid.

Permission Notes

Adjudical rules/similar cases are paid content. If you lack permission, you will be prompted with “library access restricted.”

Notes

  1. Compliance boundaries: See NOTICE.md.
  2. Frequency control: Use the adjudical rules library at a low frequency to avoid triggering platform rate limits.
  3. Session management: If a CAPTCHA appears, manual intervention is required; Cookies are only valid locally.
