Preface¶
In the DeepSeek Harness Web interface, when working with long conversation histories, quickly locating question and answer segments and distinguishing answer statuses are common needs. dsh-chat-rail is specifically designed to solve this problem. It provides visualized turn statuses and quick navigation through a right-side rail.
Plugin Introduction¶
dsh-chat-rail is a right-side navigation rail plugin for the DeepSeek Harness Web chat interface. It displays colored nodes for each “question → answer” turn, using color to distinguish statuses (green/yellow/red/blue). Clicking a node jumps to the corresponding section; hovering expands a status panel that shows short phrases extracted from keywords. The plugin is released under the MIT License and maintained by shao-01-test.
Core Features¶
- Collapsed state and node display: By default, it appears as a thin vertical line on the right side, with one colored cylindrical node displayed for each question.
- Status and animated interaction: Hovering or moving near the rail smoothly expands the panel. Entries being answered show a loading animation, and entries that have just finished answering show a flash animation (expand → flash once → highlight).
- Keyword jumping: It automatically extracts secondary summarized keywords into short phrases; clicking a phrase jumps to the corresponding part of the answer.
- Theme adaptation: Colors use DSH theme tokens (
--dsw-alias-*) and follow the current skin.
Installation and Activation¶
This plugin offers a bundle installation method (recommended) and a dynamic installation method.
Method A (recommended): Install as a dsh-plugin bundle
dsh plugin --profile web add /path/to/dsh-chat-rail
After installation, DSH must be restarted once. After restarting and entering any session, the rail will appear on the right side.
Method B: Install as a dynamic Cordis plugin
This method requires manual operation. You need to copy the apply(ctx){...} function body from client.js, complete it together with its dependencies (such as React and styles), and then activate it via cordis_run. Method A is recommended for everyday use.
Typical Usage¶
- Enter a DSH session and observe the thin rail that appears on the right side.
- Hover over the rail to expand the navigation panel and view question summaries and keyword phrases.
- Click an entry to jump to that question.
- Click a keyword phrase to jump directly to the corresponding part of the answer.
Notes¶
- After installing with Method A, DSH must be restarted once for the plugin to take effect.
- Dynamic installation with Method B requires manually completing the
Reactandstylesreferences, which is more cumbersome. - The plugin depends on
cordis.patch.ymlto be hooked into the web bundle stack.
