Introduction

When using DeepSeek Harness (DSH), task queueing, execution interruptions, and session restarts are common in long sessions. After an instruction is issued, if the Agent is busy or a user inserts a task, the context of the original task can easily be lost. The dsh-memo-notebook plugin is designed to solve this problem. It records unfinished tasks by workspace, automatically captures user instructions that are queued or in progress, and persists their state to disk. It supports queue interruption and one-click recovery to the original state.

Core Features

Automatic Capturing and State Transitions
The plugin automatically captures new instructions sent to the assistant and adds them to the memo notebook. Task states transition automatically: Queued → In Progress → Completed (automatically marked when the Agent ends normally). It supports real-time state updates via SSE.

Queue Interruption and Recovery Mechanism
When a new message is inserted into the queue, the previous task is marked as “Interrupted,” and its previousStatus (original state) is recorded. Users can use the “Resume” button to rerun the task in its original state (Queued or In Progress).

Task Management
Supports marking as completed (retaining the record) and one-click deletion. After selecting multiple entries, users can bulk complete, delete, or resume them.

Panel Interaction
The panel is fixed above the sidebar and supports dragging and position memory. It provides filtering by state (All / Queued / In Progress / Asking / Failed / Interrupted / Completed).

Data Persistence
Data is synchronously written to disk as UTF-8 encoded. Default path is ~/.dsh/memo-notebook/state. Stopping or restarting the web service will not cause data loss.

Installation

Before installation, ensure that DeepSeek Harness (dsh) is installed and that GitHub is accessible.

  1. Run the installation command:
dsh plugin add SeanWang114514/dsh-memo-notebook --profile web
  1. Restart dsh web to load the Host-side logic.
  2. Refresh the browser. A 📝 icon will appear in the bottom-right corner.

Usage

UI Operations
Click the 📝 icon in the bottom-right corner to open the panel. Enter a task in the input box and press Enter to queue it. Click the circle on the left side of an entry to select multiple entries, then use the top toolbar for bulk operations.

API Calls
You can also add or resume tasks via the API:

# 添加任务
curl -X POST http://127.0.0.1:3080/api/memo/add -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"text": "帮我写周报"}'

# 恢复任务
curl -X POST http://127.0.0.1:3080/api/memo/resume -H "Content-Type: application/json" -d '{"id": "task-id"}'

Configuration and Storage

The default persistence file is located at ~/.dsh/memo-notebook/state. The plugin ensures data safety by writing synchronously. After installation, you can check the memo-notebook configuration option with dsh --profile web --dump-config.

Summary

dsh-memo-notebook solves context-loss problems in DSH Agent workflows through persistence and state-machine management. Developers can manage tasks directly via the plugin panel or API, making it suitable for Agent scenarios that require long-running operation and frequent interaction.
