Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) Web Profile supports plug-in based extension. When the default interface cannot meet personalized needs, community plugins can be introduced for customization.

Plugin Introduction

dsh-background is a community project maintained by retmon2333 and licensed under the MIT License. It allows DeepSeek Harness Web to use a local wallpaper (single image / folder carousel), with adjustable transparency, blur, mask, and cherry blossom / snowflake effects. The sidebar and input box can also show the wallpaper through translucency.

Core Features

This plugin provides the following capabilities:

  1. Enable Switch: When turned off, the default UI is restored, and the settings items become grayed out.
  2. Wallpaper Source: Supports a single image or a folder carousel. Image paths are local paths; supports sequential or random playback, with configurable playback interval and crossfade effect.
  3. Visual Adjustment: The fill mode, opacity, blur level, mask color and opacity, and panel opacity can be adjusted.
  4. Extended Translucency: The left sidebar and message input box have translucent effects enabled by default; main areas such as the conversation list and trajectory can also show the wallpaper through translucency.
  5. Effects: Supports falling cherry blossom or snowflake effects, with adjustable density and speed.
  6. Settings Entry: After installation, go to “Settings -> Background” in the DSH interface to configure it.

Installation and Enablement

Before installing, please ensure the current Profile is web.

  1. Run the installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add github:retmon2333/dsh-background
  1. After installation, please completely restart dsh web, then press F5 to refresh the browser.
  2. Open Settings -> Background to verify that the plugin is in effect.
  3. After installation, it can also be updated from the DSH plugin management page.

Configuration and Uninstallation

User configuration is stored in %USERPROFILE%\.dsh\settings.yaml. Uninstalling the plugin will not delete the user configuration.

To restore factory defaults, edit %USERPROFILE%\.dsh\settings.yaml and delete the entire dsh-background: configuration section from the file.

The uninstall command is as follows:

dsh plugin --profile web remove dsh-background

Notes

  • This plugin is a community project and is not officially produced by DeepSeek.
  • Wallpaper loading is limited to local files and will not be uploaded to third-party network services. The image path must be configured by the user.
  • The plugin runtime depends on the web Profile. Ensure the dsh web process has permission to read the configuration directory.
  • It is recommended to check the source code and license (MIT) before use to ensure it fits your usage scenario.
