In the development workflow of DeepSeek Harness (DSH), an Agent’s runtime status is usually reflected through logs or progress bars. Although this feedback is precise, it lacks an intuitive visual anchor. The dsh-kun-pet plugin introduces a desktop pet in the bottom-right corner of the Web interface, converting the Agent’s states (idle, working, thinking, etc.) into concrete animation actions and enhancing the interactive experience during development.
Plugin Positioning¶
The plugin is maintained by Practice019 and belongs to the fun dress-up tool category. Its core value lies in mapping the Agent’s runtime status to visual feedback and triggering audio interaction at specific milestones, such as task completion.
Core Features¶
- Status Mapping: Supports 9 animation states, including idle, working, review, waiting, failed, celebrating, runRight, runLeft, and wave.
- Audio Feedback: When a task is completed, the host side plays the voice line “What are you doing~ Oh my” via PowerShell; when clicked, the browser side plays a sound.
- Interaction Operations: Supports dragging to move and clicking to interact.
Installation and Enablement¶
Prerequisites¶
- Windows OS (dependent on PowerShell and the PresentationCore assembly)
- pnpm installed
Installation Command¶
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-kun-pet
After installation, DSH must be restarted for the changes to take effect. The desktop pet will automatically appear in the bottom-right corner of the Web interface.
Typical Usage¶
- Move Position: Hold the pet down and drag it to any position on the screen.
- Interact: Click the pet to trigger a waving action.
- Observe Status: When the Agent is executing tools, thinking, or encountering an error, observe the changes in the pet’s actions.
- Task Completion: After the Agent completes a task, the system automatically plays the voice.
Notes¶
- System Dependencies: Playing the task-completion sound depends on the Windows PresentationCore assembly; ensure the environment is complete.
- Process Permissions: The plugin runs inside the DSH process. It is recommended to review the source code and license (MIT) before installation.
Summary¶
Through both visual and audio feedback, the plugin provides a lightweight companion experience for DSH’s development and debugging process. Developers can quickly perceive the Agent’s current state by observing the changes in the pet’s actions.
