Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) is the core tool for agent evaluation and assessment. When using its web client on mobile devices, common touch interaction issues include leftover tooltips, accidental zoom from double taps, and overly small touch targets. @oksure/dsh-client-ui-mobile-comfort aims to fix these native UI defects on touch devices by working as an out-of-tree plugin, ensuring that mobile interactions feel intuitive.
Plugin Positioning¶
This is a client-side plugin for the DSH web client, provided by maintainer oksure. It resolves six typical mobile browser touch issues by injecting a responsive stylesheet and overriding specific event behaviors, without affecting desktop mouse interactions.
Core Features¶
The plugin mainly includes the following fixes:
-
Suppress ghost tooltips
In WebKit browsers, tapping sidebar controls can triggermouseenter, butmouseleavemay not fire on mobile, causing tooltip bubbles to remain visible. The plugin hides these hover-only tooltips using the CSS rule:not((hover: none) and (pointer: coarse)). -
Fix double-tap zoom ambiguity
The native UI does not set atouch-actionpolicy, so quick double taps in iOS Safari may zoom the page instead of registering a click. The plugin setstouch-action: manipulationon interactive elements, preserving both quick taps and pinch-to-zoom. -
Enlarge touch target sizes
The minimum size of collapsed sidebar controls and editor controls is increased from their original values to 44px, helping ensure accurate finger taps. -
Fix narrow-screen layout collapse
In the native layout on narrow screens, the sidebar takes up 56px and squeezes the conversation area. The plugin makes the conversation area full width and lets the collapsed sidebar float above it as an overlay; tapping the background closes it without accidentally triggering controls underneath. -
Prevent touch-hover interception
The plugin removes paths where touch events can be misidentified as hover events, ensuring click events are captured correctly. -
Expand collapsed session groups
The sidebar initially shows only five sessions. When the sidebar is expanded, the plugin automatically reveals more sessions to improve navigation efficiency.
Installation and Enabling¶
The installation command is as follows:
dsh plugin --profile web add file:/path/to/dsh-mobile-comfort
After installation, restart the web profile to apply changes:
dsh web
Compatibility and Notes¶
- Environment requirement: Node.js version must be 22.0.0 or higher.
- DSH version: Verified compatibility with DSH 0.1.5-rc.2 and 0.1.7-rc.2.
- Platform impact: Desktop mouse pointers are unaffected. All fixes take effect through the
pointermedia feature or thetouch-actionproperty. - Root cause: Some issues originate from the upstream dependency
@deepseek-ai/dsh-client-ui-primitives. This plugin exists as a temporary workaround.
Summary¶
By using CSS injection and event handling, this plugin fixes a range of mobile usability issues in the DSH web client without changing the desktop layout logic. For DSH users who frequently debug evaluation tasks on phones or tablets, installing this plugin is recommended for a more stable gesture experience.
