DeepSeek Harness (DSH) provides the foundational environment for running agents. When building agents that involve cloud drawing or complex workflows, integrating external services directly typically requires additional development work. dsh-runninghub-api is a DSH plugin designed to directly connect RunningHub’s cloud ComfyUI workflows into the DSH environment.
The plugin is maintained by lucyTrump and follows the MIT License.
Core Features¶
The plugin provides a complete set of mechanisms for managing RunningHub workflows within DSH agents:
- Cloud workflow integration: Directly invokes RunningHub’s cloud ComfyUI workflows within the DSH environment.
- Configuration management: Provides configuration forms for the API Key and workflow library.
- Toolset: Provides the
runninghub_*toolset for agents to call. - Upload caching: Uses the SHA256 algorithm to cache uploaded media files, avoiding duplicate uploads.
- Concurrency control: Provides local concurrency gating, managing tasks with a FIFO queue and timeout mechanisms.
- Background tasks: Supports background tasks with completion notifications.
- Persistence and recovery: Provides a persistent task ledger, supporting automatic task restart and recovery.
Installation and Enabling¶
In DSH ≥ 0.1.6-alpha.2, the configuration location has been adjusted.
- Run the installation command:
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-runninghub-api
Or install/update it through the in-app plugin marketplace (dshmarket).
- Open the Plugins page in the sidebar.
- Find the dsh-runninghub-api card and complete the configuration form below the description.
Configuration¶
The configuration is located in the form on the plugin page, with the following default values:
| Configuration Item | Default Value | Description |

Tools and Usage¶
The plugin provides the following tools for agents to call during conversations:
runninghub_list_workflows: List available workflows.runninghub_fetch_workflow: Fetch a single workflow definition.runninghub_run_workflow: Run a workflow (two-phase: report missing parameters/values instead of submitting directly).runninghub_get_task: Get the status of a specified task.runninghub_list_tasks: List tasks.runninghub_cancel_task: Cancel a task.runninghub_upload_file: Upload a file (supports SHA256 deduplication).runninghub_refresh_workflow: Refresh workflow definitions.runninghub_note_workflow: Add usage hints to a workflow.
On the browser side, the plugin self-mounts its namespace via ctx.remote.$mount() and provides the following remote interfaces:
fetchWorkflow: Fetch and parse workflow JSON.validateWorkflow: Perform a dry-run payload assembly.describeWorkflow: Generate an LLM description including node constraints, parameters, and usage hints.runTest: Perform a real paid submission test using the configuration form.testConnection: Test the validity of the connection.
Notes¶
- Version requirement: Requires DSH ≥ 0.1.6-alpha.2.
- Local development: If installed by link into a local DSH checkout (
dsh plugin add <this dir>), the@deepseek-ai/*entries innode_modulesmust be symbolic links; otherwise, duplicated cordis singletons will occur. - Hot updates:
dsh-hmrwatches configuration files and patch files, not the plugin content itself. - Dependency checks: When installing the linked version, ensure the source environment is correct to avoid issues caused by dependency duplication.
Summary¶
dsh-runninghub-api fills the gap between the DSH environment and RunningHub’s cloud ComfyUI. Through its toolset, background task management, and persistent ledger, it provides agents with stable, controllable cloud workflow execution capabilities.
