Introduction¶
DeepSeek Harness (DSH) provides a Web configuration interface for model inference. On the default Settings > Models page, you can see the Provider routing, credentials, and model catalog, but the default interface lacks direct controls for other Adapter configuration options (such as inference mode, inference effort, context window, token defaults, various budget limits, and timeout settings).
The dsh-plugin-model-config plugin fills this gap. It displays these configuration options as rows inside the Provider card, allowing you to edit them directly.
Plugin Purpose¶
This is a complete model configuration editor for the Settings > Models page of the DeepSeek Harness Web interface.
- Maintainer: liutian11451-png
- License: MIT
- Purpose: Directly edit configuration parameters inside the Provider card.
Core Features¶
The plugin dynamically generates configuration rows by reading the deployed Schema:
- In-card editing: Presents configuration options that were previously scattered as rows directly inside the Provider card, with a layout consistent with standard settings forms.
- Type support: Automatically matches control types based on the Schema, supporting:
number: numeric input (with minimum, maximum, and step).boolean: toggle switch.string: text input (credential references are flagged).- Literal union types: dropdown selection.
- Dynamic adaptation: The configuration list is not hardcoded; it comes directly from the deployed
llm.listConfigurableProviders()and the serialized Schema for each namespace. Adding a new Adapter or new configuration field does not require changing plugin code to display it.
Installation and Activation¶
The plugin is installed through DSH’s package management mechanism.
dsh plugin --profile web add dsh-plugin-model-config
After installation, restart the dsh web process and refresh the page to apply the changes (because the build bundle is composed at startup).
Notes¶
- Code review: This plugin is AI-generated. Please review the source code before installing it.
- Non-undoable: The plugin modifies the live settings document in memory directly. It does not provide undo or diff preview functionality. Resetting configuration requires manual operation.
- Platform limitations: Only the Web Profile is supported. Terminal (CLI) is not supported.
- Data flow: Settings marked with
role('secret')are not displayed or modified in transit. Please use the credential configuration methods provided in the Adapter documentation.
Summary¶
dsh-plugin-model-config provides DSH users with more fine-grained control over model configuration. It does not modify the DSH source code; instead, it injects the UI layer at runtime through the Cordis Patch mechanism. If you need to fine-tune Adapter parameters, this plugin is a practical tool.
