Introduction

DeepSeek Harness (DSH) uses a plugin-based architecture. Developers typically hold subscriptions and exclusive models for multiple tools such as Codex, WorkBuddy, and Claude Code, scattered across their respective applications. The dsh-agent-selector plugin provides a unified entry point: select a target and model next to the chat input box, and the current conversation’s task can be delegated to an external agent for execution, with the result flowing back into the DSH conversation.

Core Features

Agent Selector

Provides a two-step Target · Model dropdown menu next to the chat input box. First select the agent, then select the specific model, and save the selection. DSH will invoke the agent_dispatch tool to send the task to the corresponding channel.

Channel Overview

The plugin supports the following channels for dispatching tasks to external processes for execution:

Channel Description Cost/Credentials
Codex Executed using the codex exec command ChatGPT quota
WorkBuddy (hy3) Directly writes to WorkBuddy’s automations table via the automation bridge to submit a one-time task, which is picked up and executed by the local scheduler WorkBuddy subscription (including hy3 promotional pricing)
WorkBuddy (Custom) Direct connection via an OpenAI-compatible endpoint, consuming the user’s own API Key User API Key
Claude Code Native exe execution, compatible with 2.1.x directory validation Endpoint billing

Result Flow-Back and Provenance Credentials

Task execution results flow back into the DSH conversation, and each result is accompanied by provenance credentials (target · model · duration · session ID). Only content returned by a genuinely executed external process is displayed.

Anti-Spoofing Mechanism

To prevent the plugin from internally simulating external agent output, structural isolation and credential validation are implemented:
1. Structural: The tool invocation path does not include “DSH answering itself,” and the return source must come from an external process.
2. User Criterion: The presence of a tool card in the conversation = genuine delegation; claiming “Codex says” without a tool card = impersonation.

Installation and Activation

Run the following commands in a terminal:

git clone https://github.com/jiang12345-code/dsh-agent-selector
cd dsh-agent-selector
pwsh install.ps1 -ProfileName web # 复制到 profile 并在 dsh.profile.bundles 中注册

After installation, restart DSH (to take effect on the host side), hard-refresh the page (to take effect on the client side), then go to Settings → “🤖 Agent Selector” to test the channels.

Prerequisites

  • DSH Version: Must be 0.1.2-alpha.2.
  • Codex Channel: Codex CLI is installed locally and logged in.
  • Claude Code Channel: Claude Code CLI is installed and a third-party endpoint is configured.
  • WorkBuddy Channel: WorkBuddy desktop client is installed and logged in.
  • Execution Engine: Python 3.x (used for the hy3 bridge and wbmodel direct connection).

Notes

  • hy3 Bridge Verification: The hy3 bridge completed full-chain verification on 2026-09-04 and supports Chinese environments.
  • Reverse Dependency Risk: The hy3 bridge is a reverse dependency. If a WorkBuddy upgrade changes the table schema or scheduler implementation, the bridge will stop working (the settings panel will show a red-light warning).
  • Permissions and Source: The plugin runs with the permissions of the current DSH process. Ensure you trust the source code and license.
