Introduction

When developing agents with DeepSeek Harness, inspecting workspace files generated by a session (such as code, logs, and Markdown documents) is a critical step in debugging and validation. The dsh-file-explorer plugin adds a “Files” tab to the DeepSeek Harness Web interface, displays the session workspace as a tree structure, and provides real-time preview and export capabilities for different file types.

Core Capabilities

The plugin provides the following features:

  • File browsing: Displays the session workspace as a directory tree, with support for multi-level expansion.
  • Multi-format preview:
    • Markdown: Renders GFM, supporting Mermaid diagrams, math formulas, tables, task lists, blockquotes, footnotes, and highlighted code blocks.
    • HTML: Previewed in a sandboxed frame, including CSS styles and scripts.
    • JSON: Provides a collapsible tree viewer, with support for copying individual values.
    • Code: Supports 24 syntax-highlighting languages (TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Go, Rust, etc.).
    • Media: Supports image (PNG, JPEG, GIF, SVG, etc.) and PDF preview.
    • Office: Supports previewing Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), and PowerPoint (.pptx) documents.
  • Actions: Supports copying text, downloading files, and exporting Markdown/HTML documents to PDF or Word.

Installation and Enablement

Install using the official plugin command:

dsh plugin --profile web add @jaxzhou/dsh-file-explorer

After installation, start the Web profile:

dsh --profile web

Usage

  1. Open a session in DeepSeek Harness that contains a workspace.
  2. Click the “Files” tab in the interface.
  3. The workspace directory tree is displayed on the left; click a file to preview it on the right.

Notes

  • Version requirement: Requires DeepSeek Harness 0.1.5-rc.2 or later with the Web surface.
  • Permission mode: The plugin has read-only access, reads files through Harness’s workspaceFiles Remote namespace, and does not involve disk writes or credential storage.
  • Configuration: No extra configuration is required; modifying cordis.yml is not necessary.
  • File size: Supports downloading files larger than 260 MB.
